## What is ninedokYu?

ninedokYu generates 9x9 Sudoku puzzles that, upon preference, require more or less specialized solving techniques. The app can also scan Sudoku puzzles from photos, manage candidates manually or automatically (depending on the difficulty level), generate solutions, export puzzles to PDF, and save your score and playtime.

### 1.4.2 — 2026-04-11

Prevents duplicate puzzle IDs in PDF files and, occasionally, on macOS using “Make / Next puzzle”. Now, also manual changes to candidates trigger timer and animation. Localisation improved.

### 1.3.1 — 2025-12-03

The app now enters an initialised correction mode if the scanner detects no digits or more than nine digits per line or column. Solver efficiency improved.

### 1.3 — 2025-11-24

A long press on the scanned result facilitate verification with the original. The app is menu driven. Improved solver and user experience. Liquid glass for buttons and icons. App renamed.

sudokYu now shows Flaws in the playing field also if “Reduce motion” is switched on in Accessibility.
