### 5/5 — Fantastic for kids

*2017-02-09*

I was looking for an app to help both of my kids with learning their notes. One plays the piano and the other one plays trombone. I love it that they can both get it customized to their instruments and it is fun to play!

### 5/5 — Amazing

### 5/5 — Great app

*2016-10-02*

Perfect for beginners. Great to learn notes and fingering for flute. I imagine it is great for other instruments as well! Just what we were looking for!

### 5/5 — AMAZING for learning fingerings!

*2016-09-02*

As a music education student, the task of learning the hundreds of fingerings between all of the instruments we have to learn is daunting. Ningenius makes learning fingerings fun! I downloaded the app and used it for practicing Saxophone fingerings. I just played the app once so far, and I already know the fingerings for 5 different notes. Imagine the possibilities when I play it for hours (which I intend to!) This app is a STEAL from all the knowledge you gain from it! I recommend this to anyone who is looking to learn fingerings.

### 5/5 — NinGenius App is worth every penny!!!

Throw away every flash card you own. This app is incredible. It connects with our students in an awesome way and is super fun. My students in band are now walking out of class on the first day knowing their essential fingerings. It has saved us countless repetitions and multiple lessons.

### 5/5 — Fun and Educational

*2015-08-15*

This is a great app. My daughter (10 years old) begs me to let her play. She is learning her note names and F horn fingerings very fast. Thanks for such a fun app that also solidifies knowledge.

### 5/5 — Great Fun!

Brought me back to fond memories of playing trumpet in middle school. Fun and educational!

Hhhhhhhh

### 3/5 — Ninja

I really like your app and you have loads of instruments but maybe next time we can choose our character and music bye .

### 3/5 — Needs some refinement

*2018-09-06*

I’m a professional music educator and I use a lot of iPad apps to reinforce theory concepts I’m teaching the kids. There is a lot of promise to this app! I love that you can choose between reading notes on the keyboard, naming them, interpreting rhythms. Graphics are great. But, the downsides are that I can only input 3 students, and the app is not user friendly. I’m fairly computer and app savvy, and I’m having a hard time setting specific notes to test, and making some other tweaks as I’m using it.

**Developer response:** Arianna2835,
Thank you for your feedback. The Games 4 Kids edition of NinGenius Music is intended for personal/home use for a student. If you are looking to add more than 3 students, then the Studio Edition is probably the better one for you. It includes learning up to 3 instruments and unlimited student profiles. We would also be interested to hear more about the areas of the user interface that you would like to see improvement. Thank you again for your review.

### 4/5 — Great app

Bought this for my son. It motivates him and he gets better very quickly. He is now grade 7

### 4/5 — I love this app but it has no sound.

*2020-04-03*

Hi,
I love this app. I wish there is a sound. Are you guys working on it?

### 4/5 — Cool

*2018-12-30, version 1.4.0*

It needs a version that doesn’t lock you instrument

### 4/5 — Like flash cards but more fun

*2017-06-27, version 1.2.0*

I would love to use this in my music classroom, but I would need a version that doesn't lock you into one instrument. Please consider changing this feature for a future version.

### 4/5 — Student

*2016-09-05*

This is a fun and easy app to use, it really helps you to learn your notes. It would be an even better app if all of the notes were represented during the test.

**Developer response:** Thanks for reviewing our app. I'm not sure if you have tried the NinGenius-level test, because it does use all of the notes in the typical range that high school musicians use. Plus, the newest update (1.2) allows you to choose whatever notes you want to create custom tests. I hope those things will help you like and use the app even more.

### 5/5 — 🙂Good game

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2019-02-03*

I started playing this app and I found out that the first level was to easy so I went to the next level and I am not as good at that one which is really good

### 5/5 — Learning notes

*2018-10-26*

Band teacher recommended for my 12-year old to learn proper fingering for flute, which it does well so far.
My 7-year old doesn’t like the flash cards his piano teacher wants him to practice, so we added piano. He loves this game! It’s the exact same information, and he asks to play ningenius.
Thank you! Well worth the cost!
So, while I was at it I added guitar, (which I have been trying to learn for years.) I am slower than the kids; but learning too.

### 5/5 — AMAZING

*2018-10-18*

I am currently still learning things on my violin and this is an AWESOME way to be able to learn the new fingerings and be able to know what a flat and sharp are so I’m not messing up and I just overall love the app in the sense of letting me and others get better at knowing their notes and fingerings to get better at playing their instrument.

### 5/5 — Ningenius

### 5/5 — A wonderful app great for learning notes!

*2018-08-07*

This app is greatly appreciated because I could not read notes and now I can get a purple belt first try in one day! terrific! Wonderful! Splendid! Great!

### 5/5 — Awesome App! 👍

*2018-06-02*

Love it

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your review! I just wanted to respond because there is a way to choose a different instrument, you just have to un-install the app and then re-download it from the App Store. You have purchased it so it won't cost anything extra for the re-download. You can then choose a different instrument. You can also add additional instruments for $0.99 each if you want. Thanks again.

### 5/5 — Trumpet mode! Excellent

*2017-06-29*

Excellent for beginners to learn both the note names and fingerings while having fun. I recommend it to my students.

### 5/5 — Useful app for young and old musicians

*2017-06-25*

My little 6-year old daughter was able to start learning the piano notes with this app because the first level only quizzes and tests you on 5 notes. (I love how you can cycle through the notes in the Study Mode and see the written notes, the note names, and the piano keys all changing simultaneously...that helped a lot!) She kept playing over and over until she could earn a black belt.
Meanwhile my teenage daughter was able to get a lot better at the more advanced saxophone notes and fingerings (such as the palm key and low pinky key notes). The app is motivating and has a lot of valuable features. This new updated version even lets you make custom tests with whatever notes you want/need to practice the most. It's awesome, and totally worth $3!
