### 2/5 — Please fix it

*2024-12-18*

When the app is open and the screen locks, and you go back into the app, it switches your account to the live account when you really meant to be on the demo account. So you could mistakenly make a trade in your live account. Also, when switching to the demo account or between two accounts, the app just goes black and freezes. Have to close out and open again. I will not use this app for live trading until these issues are fixed.

**Developer response:** Hey, there - thank you for this feedback. We're working hard to bring updates and improvements to the app, so suggestions like this are very helpful! We will be sure to pass your note along to our product development team as well.

### 3/5 — NT mobile app

*2024-11-04*

All fine and dandy but wish there’s a way to view the data box in chart.

### 4/5 — Fix the zoom on DOM

*2024-06-28*

Please locked the DOM to a fixed size. It is crazy that it keeps zooming in and out every time you scroll or resize the chart. It is impossible to enter any trades. If possible, separate chart and DOM to separate pages. It is trying to show both and excel at none. Better to keep one thing working.

**Developer response:** Hey, there - thank you for this feedback. We're working hard to bring consistent updates and improvements to the app, so suggestions like this are very helpful. I will be sure to pass your note along to our product development team as well.

### 2/5 — Lacks charting functionality and support. Only good for putting trades on

*2024-06-21*

I’ve had NinjaTrader for well over a decade and thought it was a great idea that they’d finally made the move to have a mobile app. But this app still lacks a lot of functionality that you’d want in a trading platform. Plus no specific mobile support. I’ve dealt with NT support countless times before since NT (Windows) Platform is a very capable charting software. With that, support was great. Mobile app support, however, is really bad. The only thing they’d tell me is to “clear cache and you can search online on how to do that on your specific phone” and “delete and reinstall the app” which did not fix the problem. For charting: the only way to expand a chart and add actual indicators is to click on “market screen” which means if you don’t have depth of market data on a specific instrument you cannot see price on y axis when you expand the chart (even though you’ll see up to the minute price data on the small line chart of the watchlist) i.e. for crypto and forex pairs (which price data is free and available on most if not all trading platforms) and $TICK (which I wouldn’t need the depth of market data for) you’ll be able to see live price data on the small watchlist but not able to see it if you expand the chart

*A lot of the 4-5 star reviews just talk about problems of the app.. so don’t know why they’re all clicking 4-5 stars

**Developer response:** Thank you for this feedback. We're working hard to bring consistent updates and improvements to the app, so suggestions like this are very helpful. I will be sure to pass your note along to our product development team as well.

### 2/5 — Not Especially Easy To Use

*2024-05-31*

I like Ninjatraders desktop app but charting with this mobile app is frustrating, especially for day trading where one wants to be able to work with multiple intraday time frames.

The interface is clunky and not very intuitive. Some examples: The timeframe options are somewhat limited, especially if you like to see and trade futures on tick charts other than 500 ticks. While expanding charts to see different lengths of time possible, it is not at all easy if you need to change things quickly.

I use candlestick charts. But I am red/green colorblind. The candles are in red and green and there doesn’t appear to be a way to adjust this. This makes it pretty difficult to see a chart clearly and accurately.

On the positive side, Placing orders is relatively straightforward and there are a number of options for doing this. Also, some of the different views like depth, volume depth, basic info, etc is nice.

I’d love to be able to use Ninjatrader on a mobile device on occasion but it needs work before that is possible for me.

**Developer response:** Hey there - thank you for this feedback. We're working hard to bring consistent updates and improvements to the app, so these suggestions are very helpful. I will be sure to pass your note along to our product development team as well.

### 1/5 — Just works

*2024-05-08*

Even if you turned of notifications for news and all other they keep popping up. Think about so much news popping up and you need close one by one. How boring and distracting it is.

In addition changing time frame doesn’t not update chart automatically you need get out of chart and get in again to see the change. It should be improved!!!

### 4/5 — All in all great

*2024-04-08*

Love NT. Been using it for quite a while and recommend it. The desktop and net version are worth it. My only gripe is the mobile version freezes quite a bit forcing the user to reset the app. Yikes! Platform stability has to come first.

### 4/5 — Great overall but needs work

*2024-04-03*

The app has come along way it’s great in doing the basics, letting you view your account and look at all news but I feel that the charting needs a lot of work. It’s hard to view the candles when everything such as the price levels and buy and sell buttons are so big taking up a lot of screen space

### 3/5 — Application good for trading

*2024-03-28*

Application seems adequately equipped for trading futures. Actual brokerage account and funding is another story. Multiple attempts to login plus many obstacles to actually start trading. Subpar compared to thinkorswim from TD even with their transition to Schwab. Experiencing the same with Ironbeam. Plus DOM is a subscription.

**Developer response:** Thanks for this feedback and I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the app. I will pass your notes along to our leadership team to review as well. Thanks again!

### 2/5 — Ehh, good, but lots of bad

*2024-03-27*

The foundation of the app is great, but the interface is the worst I’ve ever dealt with. Too much is obscure or covered up by notices you don’t want. Doesn’t tell you the important things, unless you go look for them. Maybe it works better on the giant iPhone, but in the typical Pro size, it’s cumbersome.

**Developer response:** Hey, there - thank you for this feedback. We're working hard to bring consistent updates and improvements to the app, so suggestions like this are very helpful. I will be sure to pass your note along to our product development team as well.

### 4/5 — This app is very useful!

*2024-03-21*

I initially was very skeptical of this app, until several improvements were made, and I actually learned to utilize it for my benefit. It is great to carry with you once you have entered your order on your desktop, then track the progress with this app.

**Developer response:** Awesome! I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the app and love hearing that you've noticed improvements. We're working hard to constantly optimize the app, so that's great to hear. Thanks for reviewing!

### 1/5 — Horrible experience

*2024-02-20*

So I downloaded the app to learn to trade as suggested by the community I was apart of at the time for trading futures. I started simulating my trades to learn . Once I started adding money the app started acting up. I had my buy, sell, and cancel all button disappear. I contact tech support and absolutely nothing was done to correct the issue. I have never seen such blatant disregard for customer care in my life. Oh and not to mention you can hardly ever reach support. I’m looking for other options to trade I’ll deal with cost over satisfaction any day .

**Developer response:** Hi, there - I'm very sorry to hear this has been your experience. I am forwarding your note to our product team so they can look into the bug you've experienced and also to our support leadership to review. Please feel free to reach back out if you need anything else, we'd love to get you the support you need and sincerely apologize that we didn't nail it the first time around.

### 2/5 — Not recommended

*2024-02-17*

NinjaTrader 7 and 8 user for last 25 years. I love the desktop and will never use anything else. Phone app should only be used to check market and your position. Trading on here would definitely wipe out your account. Hopefully, NinjaTrader will make phone app similar to their desktop version.

**Developer response:** Thank you for sharing your feedback! I will definitely pass this note along to our product team. Additionally, if you ever have any specific requests or questions, please feel free to reach out to our support team directly at support@ninjatrader.com.

### 2/5 — Need a few updates to be great

*2024-01-21*

The good.
-Easy to track and execute trades.
- User friendly navigation.

The needs improvement section.
- Over heats my iPhone 14pro battery.
- Freezes multiple times during every session , in a trade or not.
- Cannot scroll backwards without reducing chart size to an unusable level.
-Tick charts are off compared to my PC version of Ninja that I review my day on and set my trading rules.

**Developer response:** Thank you for this thoughtful feedback. We're always working to improve our app, so I will be sure to pass your note along to our product team to review as well.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Disappointing

*2025-01-24*

Will not let me setup an account for some reason.

### 1/5 — Quite possibly the worst trading app ever made

*2024-11-29*

Hopefully they read this and add functionality for adding levels/zones, or just being able to draw anything in general.

There are constant pop ups and alerts that you can’t turn off and they are very very annoying.

Truth be told I question the purpose of this app and this company in general. I don’t believe it’s to help retail traders succeed. They wouldn’t allow this app to exist if that were the case. There’s also the way they handle accounts with prop firms, some risk management features that are available for personal accounts aren’t for funded companies for whatever reason, it’s fishy.

My advice to NT would be to take a page out of motivewave’s book…make it a duplicate of the desktop version. But my advise to anyone reading this far is to turn around and run as far as you can in the other direction.

**Developer response:** Hey, there - thank you for this feedback. We're working hard to bring consistent updates and improvements to the app. Your suggestions like this are very helpful. We will pass your comments along to our product development team as well.

### 1/5 — Worst Mobile Trading App

*2024-10-19*

Not iPhone or cellphone friendly. You are unable to adjust your charts, change them, customize or even view charts on this app. What is the point of a mobile trading app if you can’t even view charts on the securities /derivatives you’re trading? The only thing more frustrating than using this app is the generic response that seems to be copy and pasted into EVERY single review critical of this app going back to last year:
‘ Hey, there - thank you for this feedback. We're working hard to bring consistent updates and improvements to the app. Your suggestions like this are very helpful. We will pass your comments along to our product development team as well. ‘

Being able to trade on a mobile device is very important when you are on the go so issues like this are a make or break given the sheer number of brokers available.

### 1/5 — Worst platform ever

*2024-09-11*

This is the worst platform I have ever used in my life. It does not let you withdraw your balance, barely you can’t trade on anything and when you go on life chat they connect you to a live agent you wait for way too long at the end the chat ends without helping you.

### 1/5 — Whats the purpose of this app?

*2024-08-20*

The picture that are displayed in the app store are misleading and honestly a lie. There are no charts, only small line graphs on a markets list view. If you are looking to actually trade from your mobile device, this will not work. This app would more so serve the only purpose as account management and closing trades while not at computer. Making informed decisions to enter trades would not really be possible given the lack of information this app doesnt bring.

I think marketing pictures of the app than having the app look nothing like that might be a violation of Apples terms honestly. Something Ninja should consider.

**Developer response:** Thank you for taking your time to review and we're sorry for your experience with our app. We've shared your observations with our support team. If you have any other issues, feel free to reach out to support@ninjatrader.com or click support in the app.

### 1/5 — App NOT user friendly

*2024-07-29*

Ninja trader charting on the app is not user friendly - there’s non stop useless notifications that aren’t simple to manage. If you bounce out of the app and then back in you can not change X axis. Additionally when you set up a stop loss the arrow buttons to move up/down are so small to press, it’s impossible to move quickly during a good running profit trade. There is no bar counter for your charts nor any way to add trend lines. Unless they make some refreshing updates, I wouldn’t use NinjaTrader at this time. Looking at moving out of NinjaTrader and into something more user friendly

**Developer response:** We're sorry about your negative experience with the NinjaTrader app. Thanks for taking the time to review - we've passed your comments along to our support team. You can reach out to support@ninjatrader.com or click support in the app.

### 1/5 — DONT WASTE YOUR TIME

*2024-07-24*

This was the worst experience i had with a broker. The charts are weird, you need a subscription to trade (when they say “pay as you trade with no monthly fee, which is a lie), and the signup process was annoying. I should’ve listen to the other comments. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. I wasted 2 days just to be told i need to have a subscription to trade, after jumping through hoops JUST TO GET THE ACCOUNT. I never write reviews, so you know this was a bad experience if I’m taking the time out of my day to write this. I’m hoping to have better luck with Oanda.

### 1/5 — Scammers

*2024-07-16*

Charts are great but they will liquidate your position anytime of day. You will lose. They charge tons of hidden fees, and make it really hard to profit from your trades. They decided one morning that they needed everyone to have 4x the required margin in 30min or they will liquidate your positions, which they did. You can't even deposit money into the account that fast. You have to wait 3 or 4 days for it to clear. Total scammers. You're better off using another broker who doesn't eat your profits and auto liquidate your positions on a wimb and they charge you $50 every time.

### 1/5 — Worst app

*2024-07-01*

Keeps freezing, not worth trading on..

### 1/5 — Whoever wrote this wasn’t a trader

*2024-06-03*

-Uncustomizable time frames?
-Line charts only?
-NO graphing/setting trendlines?
-No way set up complex order logic, and orders are on a different screen so you can’t see where you’re going to sell?

“We’re NinjaTrader’s app team, and we are here to lack everything you need!”

Whoever designed this app was complete idiot as far as what is necessary for traders. It is absolutely astonishing to me given how helpful all other people on their forum and support teams have been!

The app lets you modify the balance in your demo account and close orders, but that’s about it unless you are either insanely good with line charts or generally prefer to trade in a long term fashion off of Google charts…

NinjaTrader is almost exclusively for day trading. So why isn’t your bloody app designed for day traders??? I mean, you honestly incur a penalty if you hold anything overnight!

The app itself is not that complicated. Or useful.

Deleted after 10 minutes - I will not be needing it even to CLOSE my trades because ALMOST NOBODY ON NT HOLDS OVERNIGHT!

Who designed to zone out on the day of the design meeting?

### 5/5 — Charting

*2025-01-18*

Charting needs improvement in the UI department. Currently hard to use and difficult to even get to a chart up and going without having to spend time on learning the platform just like its Desktop app. Workspace from mobile to desktop and vice versa for a seamless would be expected in the near future since this is an amazing brokerage/ charting platform.

Other than that. Thank you for a solid starting point and allowing me to learn the trades with accurate data and desktop charting tools and indicators. Just hoping for a more robust app that would make it easier to trade from my phone with great charts and tools and execution.

Five starts when updated for sure! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💯🙏

### 5/5 — Just works

*2024-05-30*

Even if you turned of notifications for news and all other they keep popping up. Think about so much news popping up and you need close one by one. How boring and distracting it is. In addition changing time frame doesn’t not update chart automatically you need get out of chart and get in again to see the change. It should be improved!!!

### 5/5 — So far, so good.

*2024-03-28*

I had traded futures on TOS for years. I know TOS inside out and backwards. My biggest hurdle is learning the NT8 platform, but I’ve been watching a video a day and now I’m 2 weeks in…I’m really starting to prefer NJ8. Couple things I don’t know how to do yet, but I’ll get them down and likely won’t open my TOS anymore except for stocks, which I generally don’t day trade anyway.

80% of my trades tend to be a scalps cause I kill losers or shaky trades fast. NT8 is awesome for a futures scalper. Great tools. I think I’m gonna like it here. And it’s WAY cheaper than TDA/Scwab!!

**Developer response:** This is great to hear! I'm glad you're enjoying your journey AND the app. Thanks for reviewing!

### 5/5 — Platform

*2024-03-19*

Excellent mobile app to use alongside the desktop version.

**Developer response:** Thanks for reviewing! I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the app.

### 5/5 — Prolific

*2024-03-05*

Very impressive software with no lag. I’ve tried many but this and think or swim are top notch. I will trade here from now on.

**Developer response:** Hey, there - Welcome! And thanks for taking the time to review. I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the app.

### 5/5 — Ninja trader is my main trading platform

*2024-03-04*

If you already know how to trade then choose ninja trader for your live accounts. It’ll be easier and much less fees

**Developer response:** Thanks for reviewing! I'm glad to hear you're happy with NinjaTrader and the app.

### 5/5 — For the number for traders and clients they have…

*2023-11-09*

It’s a good app to check balance and or check positions. And check prices. NT needs to update it and at least make the charts bar charts instead of this line graphs they have.

I’ve been a client for years. I’m really happy with their desktop platform and the whole client experience. However, this app makes TOS mobile look good.

**Developer response:** Hi, there - thank you for this thoughtful feedback. I will be sure to pass your comments along to our product team to review.

### 5/5 — Charting is Aweful!!!

*2023-09-22*

I just joined and was so excited to trade with NINJATRADER. Unfortunately, I had to get away from my screens today. When I checked the market via my phone, I was excited to get into a trade. Went into the NINJATRADER app and couldn’t even get the charts to move. Couldn’t even change the time interval. I opened and closed it 3 times, still couldn’t move the charts. Couldn’t place a trade not being able to see what’s to the left of the price action. Any other app out there, you don’t find this problem. Please get it together or I’m leaving for AMP futures with my 140K account.

### 5/5 — Fast and smooth

*2023-09-06*

🤎❤️

### 5/5 — It’s a work in progress

*2023-09-06*

Originally I left a critical review of this app, someone from NinjaTrader did reach out which to me shows that they are trying to improve it, all and all it has some things that in my opinion are superior toThinkorswim like the order tree, for scalping you can’t beat the speed and accuracy they’ve built into order placement, it’s pretty streamlined and makes rapid fire orders sometimes only lasting seconds round trip very precise

**Developer response:** Hey, there - I'm sorry to hear you're having these issues with the app. I have shared your note with our product team so they can take a look at what you're experiencing. We are always working to improve our app performance, so this kind of feedback is super helpful.
