Was hard to wrap my head around it first but once I got it, it’s pretty cool. Only thing is I don’t think you can delete their chore list suggestion. Has a great AI sort of ‘rotation’ which is cool. Hard for if I click on ‘teeth brushing’ everyone, if one person clicks they’ve done it, it is dismissed from everyone’s list. It will not open or load. I closed and reopened. I turned my phone off and one. I deleted and reinstalled twice. My iPhone is up to date on software updates. I never even got to create an account. Spent a lot of time setting it up but cannot set the start day for the chores with recurring schedules it always gets set to the day you enter it. Also quite time consuming to set up, need to enter chore and then create the schedule. Ended up just using Asana which worked way better for us. Maybe one day with kids it will become useful and not be a total waste of money/time. ### 2/5 — Don’t bother *2025-06-08, version 2.9.20* This app could be great but between the bugs and being limited on what you can do it’s not worth it. I like the price point for the subscription but I find it frustrating that you have to pay to literally use the whole app. The problems I am dealing with is that my kids are unable to see all chores they have to do everyday. Also they will mark off chores and I won’t get them and they have to do them over and over again and then it will send the chores being marked off multiple times. If I’m paying for an app there shouldn’t be this many problems! I have now canceled my subscription and will be looking elsewhere. ### 2/5 — Notifications Didn't Work & Tutorial Could Be Better *2024-04-24, version 2.9.12* We gave Nipto a try because it didn't require a credit card just to access the app. You get 5 free groups of recurring scheduled tasks before you have to pay for premium. Unfortunately, we started looking at other chore tracking apps because of Nipto's buggy notifications. I received daily notifications for my scheduled and overdue (red) tasks, but other members in my household did not. Therefore, our collective tasks weren't getting done. Furthermore, Nipto's notifications and the "time extend" (yellow) feature failed to track correctly for some of our recurring tasks that happen every 2-6 months. I'm not sure what the "time extend feature" is actually called because the tutorial doesn't explain it. I emailed support with questions, but never heard back. Lastly, the rewards system seemed inconsistent because the app doesn't explain how the point discrepancies work in determining Happy and Sad Nipto status. ### 2/5 — A little more *2020-12-11, version 1.3.2* I love the design and point system of the app, but I would have loved for this to have the managed members to be on other devices as well. What I was looking for was an app that I can set up as the primary manager and add my child’s account as a managed member on her device. That way she can get notifications independently and complete the tasks given by the manager. Task approval would also be useful. ### 3/5 — Mixed. *2024-01-13, version 2.9.8* I feel mixed on Nipto. There are some parts I really like, including the extra points for overdue chores and rotating between members. My main complaint is that there isn’t enough customization for custom chores. I was able to add my husband easy and haven’t paid anything. I probably will get the subscription at some point, it’s only 1.99 a month, that’s amazing compared to the one I tried before this. But the subscription isn’t really necessary. I’m loving it so far, it’s helping me keep track of chores (obviously) due to having mom brain. The only thing I’d change, is once you “validate” tasks, they should leave the list when you go to validate tasks again. It gets confusing because it looks like you never crossed it off, and you could double cross it that way.
