## What is Nitefall?

Nitefall is a Safari extension that converts all your websites to dark mode and reduces eye strain, especially helpful at night. It works automatically with system appearance so that your websites are only dark when the whole system is in dark mode.

Features:
-3 dark themes to pick from (Dark gray, Monokai, Midnight)
-Darken navigation maps
-Support for blacklisting specific websites
-Increase transparent PNG icons contrast (especially when they are very dark and not easily to viewable)
-Per site configurable image brightness (useful if the website is displaying bright images)

You can try the extension for free on a limited number of websites. To use it on an unlimited number of webpages, you need to purchase a premium plan which can be used on both Mac and iOS.

It was great… until you’re hit with a screen blocking notification when casually browsing saying “your trial has run out and you have to pay” and then it no longer works. 

I would highly recommend to users thinking about downloading this app to take a look around Reddit and other areas of the internet to find better alternatives if they do not wish to be forced to pay.

While it is perfect to scroll through stuff in dark mode, the red bar notification that says “Your trial has expired” implies you need to pay in order to use this thing longer. Reviews didn’t tell me about this and neither as the app itself. Don’t use it if you are looking for free apps.
