I can’t even create a table of contents from within the app (the main reason I bought this) or a basic fillable form. There is no support for this app to be found and the User Guide requires an internet connection. Skip this one, it’s not worth the hassle and is a major disappointment. The UI of the Windows and iOS/Mobile apps are different for different uses i.e. desktop editing is much more heavy duty while mobile editing is lightweight. Also, the iOS/Mobile app is built for the Apple user base. I am also worried about the Mac version under the new ownership. Smile’s support was great. The latest iPad OS version is a disaster, however. Every time I try to annotate a document, the app crashes without saving the annotations. This is extremely frustrating. I hope that Nitro will fix this app and support it properly. So when I saw this app I thought great, I can do some editing while on the couch at night. The description said I could work seemlessly between the desktop version and this app, which lead me to believe that I could do what I do often on the desktop app, add text boxes for users to fill in and add other things like combo selection boxes and tick boxes. Well I'm afraid it doesn't do anything like that. Basically all you can do is the same as many free form filler apps do. Not what I thought. So after 5mins I had worked out it was nothing like I gathered from the description and tried for a refund. After many attempts to use the links provided by Apple and the app developer I found that there is practically no way to contact anyone. Today I made an account on Norton, to download a new Norton Premium Antivirus. After the Install I received a notification of data leak on dark web. I checked the source where it was leaked, it was by gonitro.com which led to this application I installed once in 2021. Please refrain from using this app. I am afraid to use my real name after i learned that. I changed my email and passwords. This app developer need to put a serious thought on their cyber security. ### 1/5 — Expensive and Useless *2025-09-18* Not giving its Pro features on iOS and iPadOS. Giving only simple feature with yearly charges which iPad default PDF app already have. ### 1/5 — Disappointing *2025-06-10, version 8.4* I have Nitro pdf pro 14 on two of my PC’s. It’s great. I accepted the free Nitro pdf Pro trial that gave me the same tools on my ipad with access to all my recent files but I could not justify the cost. This app for a more reasonable price promises the same features but utterly fails to deliver. The support link gives contact options for the various PC and Mac offerings but not for the ios product. You can combine pdf files but it is impossible to reorder them. You can only rotate or delete. The help link takes you to something called Pdf pen. There is no way of contacting support directly. I am going to have to cancel. ### 1/5 — Crashes repeatedly on iPhone. Yes, my iOS is up to date. *2025-04-29* It crashes when opening PDFs from websites email attachments, and attempting to save markups. It also consistently does not save documents after performing markups or trying to save a PDF. It has difficulty creating new folders to save files in. I have to make the folder using a different app and then try to save it, which also fails repeatedly. ### 1/5 — GARBAGE! SAVE YOUR MONEY *2025-03-28* This app is useless. The editor app that comes with iphone works better than this. You cant even rotate pages. Tried going to the website, community forum, submitting an issue, to no avail. However, the iPad OS app works differently than the desktop and I can’t find a user manual for it. Is there one? Also, I am mostly interested in OCR and conversion to text documents. It seems like tablets these days have enough power to do that, so will these functions be included? The help pages do not apply to iPad. I will not keep my trial subscription unless it allows me to edit PDFs. That was how is billed. Additionally, when trying to share a document to another folder on the iOS device I would receive a “save error” message. I finally had to come up with some other workarounds using other programs to simply finish the task of the deleting two to page within a PDF. I purchased this program shortly after your company acquired pdf pen.
