In city road, I use the camera feature to keep me safe from traffic. The only con I find is the phone gets very hot when in camera mode so I had to direct the car air toward the phone to keep it cool. ### 5/5 — Handy speedometer *2019-12-22* I travel across the international border between US and Canada and find this handy as it switches the speed from mph to kph as I cross the border. My car speedometer is in mph only so it helps me read the speed in the car in kph while in Canada and mph while in US. One suggestion for developer - hide the max speed when the car is at stop👍 ### 5/5 — Avoids traffic congestion *2018-11-03* This app is really good at finding alternate roads to avoid construction or traffic congestion. It also takes you through routes when other app like waze says there is congestion ahead, but actually there is none in the road. Nity is also very useful in avoiding distracted driving due to the frequent alert it gives for other traffic, speed, turns. ### 5/5 — Great GPS & AR app *2018-10-27* I bought this app because of its heads up AR display. It has never disappointed me and I like it over Waze. I just type the name of a restaurant and the full address comes up even before I complete typing. It is great at turns and exit as it gives cues before each exit with distance information. The coolest thing is its warning before intersection. I never missed an exit or turns. Really have been great fan of this little unknown app - I wish I could find it before. ### 5/5 — Object detection *2018-10-27* I was looking for an app that can detect objects without delay at all light combinations- cloudy to sunny. This app does it- at one dollar it is worth my money. ### 5/5 — Very helpful app *2018-10-13* My teen recently started driving and I feel safer with her on the road with this app. 0.99 cents for this multipurpose app that allows for directions, driving aid, and running is amazing. ### 5/5 — Awesome driving and workout app *2018-10-12* I use this app everyday even though my destination is same due to the real time traffic warnings it provides me. It has been fabulous and no other app has these features in one app. The recent addition of time for running is very cool - I have used so many running apps but none displays data like Nity. The only improvement I think about is it should make speed display change color. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — The worst app ever *2024-10-22* I read the good reviews and I bought it, but now I think the good reviews are fake. This app freezes and shuts down all the time. Video recording doesn’t work, no videos are found. It will take a snapshot and freezes. If the developers monitor these reviews, can they provide info on how the app record videos, where they are saved etc? ### 1/5 — Doesn't work as advertised *2019-07-24* No settings to configure. No tweaking. Also no way to move from running move (for walking)to navigation. This app was not as advertised. It's not functional. I want my refund **Developer response:** I am sorry you did not like the app. It has a simple one page interface. The app was designed to minimize driver distraction while maximizing content - therefore no settings and no tweaking. The option between navigation and running is set up front and was not designed to be flipped back and forth to avoid distraction. ### 3/5 — Need work *2025-05-16* The idea is sound, and features that are present seem to work. However, UI needs some work(specifically the address input isn’t easy or clear). Use case could be broadened to include cycling and portrait mode for those who need it. Would also recommend the option to select a save folder in photos for the recording and upload options to automatically upload. Overall, I like the concept, and will keep an eye on this for improvement. ### 5/5 — Reliable navigation app *2024-01-17* One of the most crucial thing in a navigation app is to give advanced warning to driver before a turn or exit in highway on a consistent basis- and this app does it so well. Many other apps including that of famous OEMs gives exit warnings at very last moment which prompts me to cut in front of others and create a panic situation- with this app i don’t have to worry about that. ### 5/5 — Great dashcam *2024-01-12* Easy to take video with click of a button - the video from Nity dashcam is very useful for on road usage - it is like an extra eye for my old car. **Developer response:** hello thank you for your comment - we are glad you like the dash cam video option. ### 5/5 — 0 to 60 *2024-01-01* I got this as a navigation app that I can use as a dash cam. I had no idea this thing can also give 0 to 60 timing. **Developer response:** hello thank you for your response - the 0 to 60 mph or 0 - 100 kph time is available in analytics page in addition to the dash cam and you can get this value with and without dash cam option. ### 5/5 — Camera and navigation option *2024-01-01* I like the camera and navigation option a lot - it lets me have the full map view and yet not getting focused on camera view and what it is detecting - since camera is working in background- I still get all the alerts from camera. I have couple of suggestions for the developer that will make this app even better - make map camera background as default option instead of map and other camera and secondly - when I tap on the video record button - show the video display- so I can see what I am recording - it can be a small view on top of current map view. Overall very handy and useful app!!! **Developer response:** hello map with camera in background is indeed the default option and is always recommended - this way your camera does the background job of looking into the road and giving you alerts while you focus on driving with navigation view. We will look into adding video view on top of navigation during dashcam video recording in our next release. ### 5/5 — Drive score - avoid distracted driving *2023-12-25* I like the drive score, very informative to show my turns, braking etc - good tool to avoid distracted driving. ### 5/5 — Reliable multifunction app *2023-02-11* I never miss directions even on constructions with road changes. The running mode is a great addition - for everyday jogging. It works great, better than my stop watch. It gives my steps, every 100 and 400 m time and speed chart - please also add calories, weekly and monthly data to show progress. Presence of navigation on the top of all of these makes it a great add. ### 5/5 — Navigation app *2022-09-27* The app is a great addition and alternative to other commonly used navigation apps. The object detection feature is very specific and useful on the roads. I converted my mini $10,000 used car into a feature similar to Tesla- it detects each object in front, gives warning and real time navigation. ### 5/5 — Updates distance to the next exit *2022-06-18* The map feature is very handy and accurate in construction zones, where exits have been changed. Nity updates distance to the exit, which is much better than the Apple map.
