I keep downloading because I love seeing the Verse of the Day. I was looking for an app that was geared for women, but have yet to find one that really works for me. This app had so many positive reviews that I thought I would give it a try. I’m so glad I did! While it isn’t pink and pretty (yes I said that), it is so simple to use. Let’s be honest, an app is not the same as holding the Bible in your hands. But this is the next best thing. And I’m really enjoying the morning verses and devotional a. I have several bible versions for cross reference along with study bibles. I can create margin notes, highlight verses in 4 colors, search, and back it all up on line. It has never locked up or had any software problems. Tecarta is hands down the best electronic Bible ever. Intuitive and streamlined, I turn to it over and over again. There is only one addition I would make to it if I could: just a little formatting capacity in the personal notes section. It wouldn't even need to be much, but to be able to use bold and italics would go a long way. ### 5/5 — Cheated out of bibles *2019-08-01, version 7.15.4* I’ve had the NIV/NASB-Strong’s app for almost a decade. When I had my recent iPhone upgraded I lost all data and purchased Bible materials. It has been straightened out (with some cash) and the app explained to me. The available daily devotions is a must for a powerful practical daily lessons and blessing from God. ### 5/5 — As a pastor with lots of resources, I find this app to be my go-to on the phone Bible. *2018-09-19, version 7.12.11* Over the past 15 years or so, I have invested thousands of dollars into digital books and resources to help read, study, understand, preach, and live the Bible. And while I do use those resources, many of them are for specific uses, or get too bogged down in either clutter or navigation. Therefore, I have found myself returning to this app over and over again. I have purchased a couple of the Bibles in the app, and they are remarkably similar to the feel of the hard copy for an app, and as I mentioned, they do this while still maintaining ease of use! For anyone starting out, let me highly recommend getting the app and then purchasing the “Quest Study Bible” within. I find the questions and answers in that Bible to be most often the questions people are asking about each passage. One more thing that I love about the app? Tecarta has become my Bible and discussion resource since 2010. With more than a dozen versions of Holy scripture at my fingertips I am never without biblical sources all while using a single device. There are dozens of bible study and commentary resources also available from Tecarta and I find these most helpful as well. So if you're looking for a single source for bible study you have found it! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Not impressed any longer *2021-06-24, version 7.16.2* I have no idea what happened to my favorite bible! Something changed this afternoon and I can no longer read this as a book, it was great just sliding over to the next page. Whatever happened?? It is now either one long page eg: 1 Corinthians 15 (all verses on one page)and I am unable to get to the next chapter! I have to use the tab at the top and go through steps to get to Chapter 16! Or there are 2 columns with the same chapter side by side!! Makes no sense, I am taking it off my IPad and going the old fashioned way of an actual bible. Sad, as I enjoyed the daily verses and devotional. ### 2/5 — Customer Service Not Good *2023-03-26* I’ve asked for a few easy improvements multiple times with promises that the will be coming shortly. They never do. Tercarta promises one thing multiple times, but never deliver. For example, I’ve asked for more than 4 colors to highlight text. Tecarta says “it’s in the next update”. Or, it’s coming soon. It’s been YEARS. The app rarely upgrades anything significant. They just don’t to spend money on simple fixes and upgrades. I’m not simply complaining, but if you don’t do what you say you will do, that’s on you. Disappointing someone can’t add a few more colors and a few other tools. Decarta simply has to check my e-mail support threads to see what I’m talking about. They promised even more with no changes to the app. I’m ready to exit this app except I have purchases. But oh well, I guess I’ll lose my money. ### 2/5 — Search capabilities lacking *2018-05-08, version 7.12.5* I have been using several versions of the Tecarta Bible App for several years now and love it. It is simple to use with the ability to make notes, highlight and copy verses, and make folders and notes within. Great features but I have so many notes and folders now I need a search engine within the notes and folders and have been asking Tecarta to add this for years now. Seems like a simple fix to me and they keep telling me one is coming. Still waiting and have been for over three years now. Love the KJV version with the Strong’s app. ### 3/5 — Where are the daily verse pictures? *2022-02-25, version 7.16.2* I have loved this app for years. After the new year however the daily verse does not have a beautiful picture for meditation. A page from a book is not meditation worthy after the 20th day. Thanks!!!! ### 4/5 — Quick, Facile Scripture Study Tool *2022-12-03, version 7.16.2* Although it is neither intuitive nor convenient to set up my preferences (I prefer the John MacArthur Bible-in-a-year NIV), I manage to get it done every year. And I have to say that the whole platform is a joy to use, making my daily scripture study efficient and prolific. Like all apps, it becomes about the money. Buy the app and then every change incurs new charges. One thing I would add is button on the main screen that would allow you to return to the previous page. My pastor and in my studies I like to go to other passages for reference. A quick return button would allow the user to jump around and quick return to the original passage. ### 5/5 — Godly wisdom shared with others. *2023-06-26* I really enjoy sending your insightful verses and devotions to a group of Godly gals. The words are always just what the girls and I needed to hear, at just the right time. Words directly from the Lord! God uses these devotion to share His word. But many times, although they click on the devotion, they are unable to receive it on their phones. Please, if possible, try to remedy this glitch. Thank you for your interest in our opinion.
