* Extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with the way my genuine claim has been handled from start to finish.
* BHS Lakeview was listed as a Cashless Network Hospital, yet due to disputes between Niva Bupa and the hospital, cashless treatment was denied during a medical emergency. Policyholders should not suffer because of internal disputes.
* Despite my mother suffering from severe abdominal pain, continuous vomiting, inability to retain food or even water, and being diagnosed with intestinal malrotation of the bowel loops, the claim was rejected after nearly two months instead of being settled promptly.
* My previous genuine claim was also repeatedly rejected. However, immediately after legal intervention, Niva Bupa approved it within days. This raises serious concerns about the fairness and consistency of the claim assessment process.
* This experience has completely eroded my trust in Niva Bupa’s cashless network and claim settlement process. I cannot recommend Niva Bupa based on my experience and strongly urge the company to improve its customer service, transparency, and claim handling practices.

I wish i could rate negative, firstly the app is just trash, no option to renew your policy. Secondly, from last 6 months i am trying to set up Auto debit and it never happened. Their agent Anwar is the worst customer service agent possible, all they do is just sell you the policy, their after sale service is just pathetic. Do not buy policy from them. I raise complaint every month and get blank calls from customer service people, that too at the wrong time slot.

I see couple of information like some accumulated from last couple of years is not showing the features of the current policy should be displayed in the app. The features or whatever the Rider plans are available. Those information should be available to user during the purchase of the policy or whatever the information is showing under the policy mobile mobile app. It should be transparent to provide all such kind of information for betterment of the insurance policy information. I had a very disappointing experience with the Niva Bupa app and their overall service.
First of all, their app and website are extremely poorly designed. The interface is confusing, slow, and full of technical glitches. For a company that deals with health insurance something so important you would expect a smooth and reliable digital experience. Unfortunately, that’s not the case here. Even worse than the app is their customer service. It is very difficult to get proper support. Calls are either kept on hold for a long time or transferred multiple times without any clear resolution. The responses from support representatives often feel scripted and unhelpful. Instead of solving issues, they tend to give vague answers or ask you to check the same broken app again.

Email responses are delayed, and in some cases, there is no proper follow-up. When customers are already stressed about medical or policy-related issues, the last thing they need is poor communication and lack of accountability.
Overall, the experience feels frustrating and unprofessional. A company handling health insurance should prioritize efficiency, clarity, and strong customer support — but sadly, this has not been my experience.
I genuinely hope they improve their app performance and train their support team better, because right now the service quality is far below expectations.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This company is a complete fraud. They are quick to take your premiums and make big promises, but the moment you actually need the protection you paid for, they disappear.

I have been dealing with a claim that has been met with nothing but "silly," baseless reasons for denial. To make matters worse, their "resolution" process takes a grueling 30 days, leaving customers in the lurch while they hold onto your money.

They are essentially looting their customers by hiding behind fine print and intentional delays. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this insurance provider. Choosing anyone else would be the best decision you could make. Save your money, your time, and your sanity—look elsewhere.

I was hospitalized for an appendicitis surgery for 2–3 days, and honestly, Niva Bupa made a stressful situation completely worry-free. The hospital bill was around ₹1.5 lakh, and I only paid ₹1. Every other rupee was settled by the insurance team directly with the hospital.

I didn’t have to argue, follow up, or even worry about approvals. They didn’t disturb me with calls, and everything was handled quietly and smoothly in the background while I focused on my surgery and recovery.

At a time when you’re scared and vulnerable, this kind of support really matters. This experience genuinely restored my trust in health insurance.
