Your weather forecast looked fine for camping when I checked yesterday and this morning. However, upon arrival, I found that the wind was much stronger than indicated, and there were frequent showers, even when I checked your app directly. Unfortunately, I had to cancel my plans and lost $240 from my booking. ### 1/5 — Very poor *2026-01-15* When you open the app, it takes you to the forecast for some hours ago. Just now I fresh launched the app, it’s 6pm but it takes me by default to today’s 2pm forecast?! What use it showing the weather from 4 hours ago by default. Hopeless. This bug has been in place for a long time now with no fix in sight **Developer response:** This is the first time anyone has reported this, we’ll look into it right away. But the worst thing is that the forecast presented lacks extremely important information, such as the alerts shown on the website. I will therefore continue to use the website instead of the application because it is useless. **Developer response:** Hi lovechevaux78, sorry to hear the lack of alerts makes the app useless to you. Are you referring to the warnings for the National Park locations? ### 1/5 — Not good *2023-07-18, version 5.0* Ministry funded to do one job. Tell me the weather for a few days in advance. That’s it. But NIWA says “no rain” while it’s pouring outside. Can’t even get immediate weather correct, let alone what’s happening tomorrow. Unfortunately it was only developed for an iPhone doesn’t run full screen which makes it a bit useless.
