I was wrong. It’s almost worse. NJPW needs to wake up and make their content more accessible to English speaking markets if they want to grow. ### 1/5 — I really wanted this app to be great *2018-10-17, version 1.0* I really wanted this app to be great but, unfortunately it isn’t. With the surge in the popularity of NJPW here stateside, one would think that they would give us an app that would not only be easy to navigate but make things easy to watch content. They have done some improvements with accesses for English speaking fans, but is definitely not enough. If they ever want to be the big time player in the US, they need to improve the ease of access. Really bad design and user experience 👎🏼. Probably going to just cancel my subscription. Way too much work for the money I’m paying. NJPW needs a dedicated app for streaming. I downloaded the app and had no idea how to navigate it. I subscribe to WWE network, the Wrestling Observer, and the Torch. You have Impact and WWE develop apps for multiple devices work great but on a device that consists of more than 50% of the world's smartphone population is a huge flop. Works flawlessly ### 4/5 — Works great for what it is... *2017-06-01, version 1.0* This is fine as a convoluted way to watch NJPW World but I wish they would design a fully-functional app, to sign in to the site, browse everything, watch live streams on any device, etc. Something along similar lines as the WWE Network. I feel like NJPW's biggest hurdle holding them back from truly breaking out in the U.S. is just lack of accessibility. It's still a challenge to watch for the average viewer. A fully functional version of NJPW World available across all devices would be huge. ### 3/5 — Pretty rubbish *2018-08-04, version 1.0* It does work well to chromecast but it’s like an app from the Stone Age otherwise. Some simple added functionality like being able to fast forward (you can move your position in the clip but when it’s the width of your phone during a 3.5 hour episode you can’t do it with any accuracy at all), or a decent catalogue like the WWE app would be super helpful. This app does, however, do exactly what sets out to. It Chromecasts to your tv and does NOTHING ELSE. ### 3/5 — Still Missing AirPlay support. *2018-03-09, version 1.0* Otherwise works great with Chromecast. Probably a better solution is a full blown app for TV but would be just fine with airplay support. ### 2/5 — Barely works *2023-07-11* Constantly crashing, I always have to delete the app and re-download. Plus you still need the browser for this to function all it does is send the video from the browser to the chromecast. However, now it pauses incessantly during anything. I counted three short buffers in one minute alone. I refuse to deal with that for a 30 minute match.
