### 5/5 — Ꮇu Ꮇu Ꮇu Ꮇu Ꮇ u s i c . . .

*2014-11-24, version 5.3.3*

Yep, エ can't complain. Just like the 'Animoog' App, this Synth never leaves my iPad. It's got some great pre-sets... It's easy to use... It's a great addition to any 'm u s i c - r e l a t e d' App collection. It FULLY gets my 'golden-seal-of-approval'!

### 5/5 — The One I Keep Coming Back To...

*2014-09-20, version 5.3.2*

Stable, often updated, plays VERY nice with other apps... One of my first iOS synths, and the one I keep coming back to. No frills interface, kind of old school, but works for me!
Great work - thanks to the developers for keeping this wonderful synth always up to date!

### 5/5 — Nice synth app.

*2014-08-16, version 5.3.1*

I like NLogSynth Pro it is easy to use and it's great that there is an AU version that I can use with Logic Pro too. Even better is that I can programme patches on the ipad and then use those same patches on the AU version. Highly recommended.

### 5/5 — A Veteran App That Keeps With The Times

*2014-05-26, version 5.3.1*

This was one of the first apps I got after purchasing my iPad. It as been one of my favorite apps. It has a lot of presets, plus a simple way to make new sounds as its pages follow the signal path.

I had a great time using NLog as an effects app with Audiobus on a drum app and record to another app. It just works!

So, this app has been here almost forever, but in my opinion it should be one of your top 10 iOS synth purchases.

### 5/5 — Owned it for over two years...

*2014-05-19, version 5.3.1*

...and it stays in the go to group. Good stuff. I love adding additional effects to the sounds I come up with, but many times I do not even need to.

### 5/5 — Well worth the money

*2014-03-26, version 5.3*

Incredibly full featured synth with lots of parameters, effects, features. Got Audiobus support, full recording ability and more. Awesome sounds.

### 4/5 — Fat synth !

*2013-07-01, version 5.1.3*

Ok the interface isn't perfect but the sound is FAT and I like it.

### 5/5 — So much flexibility, and great sound!

*2013-03-17, version 5.1.3*

My first iOS synth, and still one of my favorites (and I think I have them all). Great flexibility with the LFOs, plenty of oscillators. Many great presets and the ability to design a wide range of sounds.

### 4/5 — Good

*2013-03-11, version 5.1.3*

Very good sounds for an excellent price. Stands up alongside the more expensive synth apps as well as vsts on my computer in terms sound (even better than a few) but the interface could definitely be more intuitive.

### 5/5 — My other favorite synth!!!

*2013-02-05, version 5.1.3*

Amimoog and NLog are the two best synths out there for iOS. Hands down.

### 5/5 — iLok

*2013-02-03, version 5.1.3*

Avid Bought DigiDesign

### 5/5 — Pure awesome, just needs...

*2013-01-17, version 5.1.3*

I've had Nlog for a while now and have had a difficult time writing a review. Nlog is one of the greatest iOS synths without a doubt. The synthesis engine is wonderful, and Nlog is feature packed. I've never had a single issue with it. In the rare instance that a bug is introduced, it is fixed quickly. In fact when I have a problem with another music app, getting its audio to point B, Nlog is the first place that I go to see if it has some feature to help me work around it. It plays so well with everything. And as new music app "standards" emerge for iOS, Nlog is at the front of the line to get them implemented (Audiocopy, Audiobus, virtual midi, etc.)

Despite all of this greatness, I rarely launch it for use as a sound synthesizer, and I think it boils down to the UI. I sort of feel like I'm putting on my engineering hat rather than my musician hat when I use it, and the engineering hat is more useful when I'm in the mix/master phase of work than in the song writing phase. So if there is an area to give Nlog some love, this is it, at least for me! I think more people would purchase it.

If you haven't purchased it you probably should. If you're serious about producing music on iPad, Nlog will probably bail you out of a jam at some point. And it does sound great!

### 1/5 — Bluetooth?

*2022-10-05, version 6.1*

Not finding my Bose Bluetooth Headphones, which comes on automatically on all my other top of the line synth apps. What am I missing to correct this?

### 1/5 — Auv3

*2018-06-19, version 5.5*

I thought the update was supposed to give us a UV3 but it’s not working?

### 1/5 — Frustrated musician

*2015-02-16, version 5.3.3*

There was no list of sound effects in the information, so had to buy it to find out. It does not have what I need. More waste of money.

### 1/5 — Crash uuuugghhhh!

*2013-01-12, version 5.1.2*

This was one of my favorite go to for inspiration ARP's. Since the previous update, whenever a note is touched or played on the keyboard it crashes. Why?

Very frustrating and wrong. Please fix it!

### 2/5 — Such an amazing piece of Work at UI

*2024-08-15, version 6.1*

Oh lord!

### 2/5 — Vintage synth on ios

*2018-08-09, version 5.5*

But no auv3 support in spite of recent update.

### 2/5 — Recording won't stop!!!

*2013-01-12, version 5.1.2*

Why does it leave a task bar at the top of my iPad screen that says it's recording every time I open the program. I can't get rid of this unless I turn the iPad completely off. Very aggravating!!!

### 2/5 — Uninspiring presets

*2013-01-10, version 5.1.2*

Presets are poorly named and uninspiring. Could be better. It's been ages and the interface hasn't gotten any love from the developers.

### 2/5 — Synth Enthusiasts Beware...

*2011-02-10, version 3.2*

This may just be my individual response to this - but nonetheless i feel that the community should be made aware of my verdict.

Right off the top I'll let you know that i own a Roland JP8000, a Korg Electribe, and a Roland JV1080. Additionally i have the Sylenth1 plugin for logic. If you are someone who expects similar quality of sound in this application, let me tell you that you won't find it. I found the sounds to be rather "2 Dimensional" so to speak. They lacked the appropriate requirements i had in mind for any synthesizer Software or Hardware. Sure the interface was not too bad looking, but i felt that what i heard did not compare to anything i already own. I would like to see the day where the ipad can store things such as a Sylenth1 Application or other assorted soft synths in existance. Not mere toys claiming to be in the same league. As far as synth apps go, i will say that this is most likely one of the best you will find - but it is not enough for people like me. Please take this into consideration - and remember, you may not feel the same as i do. Please respect my opinion as I respect yours.

P.S. Sound aside - i found the knobs very difficult to operate with any sort of accuracy in mind. It may take getting used to in order to properly adjust parameters.

### 3/5 — App crashing

*2021-06-04, version 6.1*

Using with Beatmaker 3, app crashes when loading presets

*2021-04-27, version 6.0*

So glad to see this hasn’t been completely abandoned, I’ve been hoping this would become an audio unit for years, thanks! If I’m been completely honest I’m leaning towards the old design but it still sounds fantastic, great update.

### 5/5 — Brilliant Update!

*2021-04-27, version 6.0*

Yay! So glad that this synth has been updated to AUv3.
Probably the best sounding virtual analog iOS synths, very rich, smooth & phatt!

### 5/5 — Fantastic update!

*2021-04-27, version 6.0*

I’ve loved this app for nearly ten years across several iPad upgrades. Excellent sounds, easy presets, simple programming with well thought-out UI.

This new look is beautiful and that X/Y pad is a blast!
Nice job.

### 5/5 — Awesome App

*2019-08-16, version 5.5*

I recently bought this app about 4 months ago and I was playing with the sounds and pressing on the keys, the synthesizer app sounded very good. I also love the demo on the pro sound bank! I recently made up a song on this app and it sounds fantastic harmony is awesome as well. I reccomend this app 100%!

### 5/5 — Still the best

### 5/5 — Great app

*2015-12-20, version 5.3.3*

It’s a very slick presentation, with awesome sounds, and lots of features to tweak and play with. I’ve only scratched the surface of it. Hopefully, it will continue to be maintained.

### 5/5 — Awesome app

*2014-11-29, version 5.3.3*

I can't believe there's no other reviews here for this fantastic app. It's Audiobus compatible and has a pretty decent collection of synth sounds, an unbelievably nice package for iOS synth noodlers, and for 2 bucks! It's a crazy good deal...I've already used it with GarageBand and it worked and sounded great. Get this app now!
