### 3/5 — Not really a game

*2026-08-17*

Feels very tedious, it doesn’t seem to make any difference how well you “play” as it’s determined on a trajectory/script so what you do in the game doesn’t really matter, you’re essentially just clicking through the Burnham/Starmer scenario from Kier’s pov. No matter how high your ratings are, this doesn’t seem to factor or impact on the game at all. For instance all my ratings were above 70% and my cabinet rating was over 90% but my character was still brought down by the cabinet. So it all felt a bit naff.

### 4/5 — Game mechanics off

*2026-08-16*

It’s an interesting game, not quite working though. For example had really good stats on all categories and suddenly got overthrown either meaning you can’t actually affect what’s happening or it’s not that well thought out

### 3/5 — Promising, but….

*2026-08-16*

Ousted with pretty much full support across the Board. Just seems like a pre meditated ending which ignores what you’ve already done. Queen of the Humber angle strange. I’d set her up to be responsive and accountable for something but instead there was a random vote against me with no lead in. Weird with full support. Would be much better if it reflected your support and understood your tactics.

### 4/5 — Good

*2026-07-31*

This game is great but has alot of potential. i think there should be a option for a snap general election and put decisions in for the election. make it more fun!

### 5/5 — Armando Iannucci and Chris Morris would be proud

*2026-07-20*

This is absolutely hilarious. Me and my girlfriend can’t stop laughing playing it together. Like we’re stuck in an episode of The Thick Of It. The scenarios are written in such a brilliant way, and we’re getting enough of a different outcome each try to make it interesting. I hope more scenarios will be written up soon, or more variables / options on the answers. Other than that, my favourite game in the App Store.

**Developer response:** This is the highest compliment there is! Scenarios and storylines are being written as fast as possible, to keep the game fresh and up-to-date, with new features coming soon too. Thank you for the kind review! 😊

### 5/5 — Review

*2026-07-18*

I love this game, I think it’s such a fun concept with appropriate cheek and wit.

I would like to see complete customisation of your characters (although it’s not a NEED need). I also think the option to run for an existing political party would be a good ‘challenge mode’ - having to make decisions based on their values and having your popularity fluctuate in response.

Honestly, worth the money.

**Developer response:** Hello thank you for the review! I am adding more customisation in very soon keep an eye out for release 1.7.0 and 1.8.0 😆

### 3/5 — Fun

*2026-07-14*

I’ve only played it once and it was fun, although after 4 years I lost office with massively high public, media and cabinet confidence (and back benches never dropped below 64%) so was weird to be booted anyway! Better get working on my biography and circuit tour.

### 3/5 — Review

*2026-07-13*

In my opinion, i think there should be a few more updates and more decision making. also i would highly suggest making it so we can name our own Prime ministers.

### 3/5 — Ok I guess, but a bit dull

*2026-07-11*

You get 3 options per scenario. That’s it. And it feels a bit like it doesn’t really matter which option you choose. There’s no real sense of progression, feedback or jeopardy. You just keep hammering away with options 1-3, eventually almost in the hope that you *will* get fired.

I remember playing Dictator on a ZX Spectrum back in the early 80s. I know I was only 14 at the time and that is many decades of rose-tinting going on. But that seemed a lot more fun somehow.

### 4/5 — Possible glitch

*2026-07-10*

My ratings which were all healthy suddenly dropped to zero after a no confidence vote triggered by the queen of Humber.

### 3/5 — Attractive premise but not rewarding enough

*2026-07-09*

-

### 5/5 — Far too close to the bone.

*2026-07-09*

I hate myself and every decision I make.

### 5/5 — Amazing game

*2026-07-08*

I never leave review for games but this game deserves it. Very simple yet creative and extremely engaging. Highly recommend.

**Developer response:** Wow thank you for the nice review! I will be updating with more features and stories soon!

### 3/5 — Needs a bit of work

*2026-07-04*

It’s quite funny but seems like your actions don’t properly impact the story - doesn’t feel so much like a strategy game, more like a movie with some buttons to click. Had almost full public and media support decent cabinet and backbench support yet somehow got toppled in a leadership contest.

### 5/5 — Great

*2026-07-02*

It really needs a scoreboard though.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Glitch!

*2026-08-16*

Okay, obvious mistake in the system. If your cabinet confidence is super low, but your backbenchers is 100%, as is your press confidence and your public confidence, why on earth would you lose the leadership challenge? You have full back benchers support, the media backing and most MPs go with the public consensus in leadership votes. So, you clearly need to alter the coding so you keep the job and just replace the cabinet. Badly worked app.

### 1/5 — Great concept, but sadly everything is written by LLMs.

*2026-08-16*

Great concept, but I stopped playing after I’m realizing that an LLM is generating everything. I think AI has a place in games, but it’s just really hard to stomach reading LLMs generating all this text. I think maybe more effort could be done to curate and land it to feel a little more human like? Not an AI-bashing review, just hard to justify it with a price tag.

**Developer response:** Hi there, there is actually no LLM in the app, and all crises and designs were hand-made! Sorry you did not enjoy the game, we will be updating it regularly!

### 1/5 — Okish

*2026-07-13*

It’s ok but it soon gets boring for me. I can’t read fast enough and the timer makes it not very enjoyable. Needs a lot of work

### 1/5 — AI Generated Rubbish

*2026-06-30*

It definitely comes across as an AI generated copy of similar games simply themed on UK politics. It runs thin very quickly, becomes very repetitive, very quickly compared to the games it copies. The core mechanics also make very little logical sense in terms of what decisions the factions at play prefer. Would not recommend as a game.

### 1/5 — Fun until you step on the ring of death year 3

*2026-06-28*

No matter what you do or how high your ratings are your political career ends year 3. Very disappointed

**Developer response:** Hi there, you can get past the election if your PM is popular 😉
I think some leaderboard entries go over 70 years now! But to make it cleaer, I will be adding in a message to notify you an election is happening soon and some more control over the outcome in the next update! I'm sorry it was worth 1 star, if you have any other suggestions please do message support@fullconfidence.co.uk

### 1/5 — Please give option to remove time limit for decisions!

*2026-06-23*

I know it’s to make the game more challenging but I find it so stressful it makes the game unplayable. The game would be a 4/5 without this.

**Developer response:** Hi there! I have had a few reports on this, in the next update there will be an accessibility option in the settings to disable the timer! Please look out for the new version 1.2.1 which supports this 😊 Thank you for raising!

### 2/5 — One note

*2026-08-25*

Satire is a very optimistic description for this - can’t imagine Armando Iannucci is quaking in his boots. The ‘humour’ is very tedious and quickly wears thin. Aside from that, very repetitive for the cost, and there really isn’t much replayability because of how arbitrary every option is.

### 2/5 — AI text + confusing gameplay logic

*2026-08-16*

Aside from the text feeling incredibly AI written, the logic of some of the events is ridiculous. For example, if your public support is over 90% you still get an event saying your polling is awful. Make it make sense.

The events are also circular and repetitive. Not really worth your time or money

**Developer response:** Hi there, all scenarios and designs are hand-made. However that public support and polling clash scenario sounds like a bug, I will look into fixing this for the next release!

### 2/5 — No good for disability

*2026-06-25*

Good fun idea but if you have any sort of reading difficulties like dyslexia, don’t buy, you can’t even read the questions before the timer runs out.

**Developer response:** Hello thank you for raising this, I have had a few messages about it and so in version 1.2.1 will fix this for those with accessibility needs! Please keep checking for the next release for this fix! Thank you!

### 2/5 — Not accessible!

*2026-06-24*

Honestly does seem fun but I have dyslexia and the timer feature makes it hard for me to actually play it properly, really feel like I’ve wasted my money

**Developer response:** Hi there! I have had a few reports on this, in the next update there will be an accessibility option in the settings to disable the timer! Please look out for the new version 1.2.1 which will support this 😊 Thank you for raising!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Good effort

*2026-08-31*

This a game that has made me laugh out loud at times. That in itself has made the purchase worth it, hope others support the developer too. The gameplay gets a bit repetitive, still, a lovely honest little game with a decent script. Well done, and good luck on future projects.

### 5/5 — Great game with plenty of promise

*2026-08-29*

Fun game to keep you occupied. Buying the special advisor pack does make it 100 times easier - for better or for worse. Maybe it’s slightly overpowered. Looking forward to seeing what else this game brings

### 5/5 — Such a great unique game

*2026-08-25*

I absolutely love this game as somebody who, loves and has interest in British politics, but also sees the funny side, traditions and to understand that sometimes you shouldn’t take it too seriously.
Even though the game is repetitive it almost seems like it’s not. It’s so realistic but yet so funny and ridiculous at the same time.

I know dev takes time but, I would love to see things like:

A list of the cabinet and individual info of those in top positions, their influence and public perception. Ability to reshuffle yourself.
Be able to have more influence of groups by holding events.

I’m sure you have your own ideas. Thanks for creating a great game and keep up the good work!

### 5/5 — Very good but…

*2026-08-19*

The sacking / no confidence vote isn’t great. I had 99% cabinet approval, but then “Fell to Cabinet”? How am I supposed to avoid falling to Cabinet when I have full approval?

The mechanics should let you succeed if you’re doing well, not force a sacking.

Edit: Added another star as they’ve fixed the bug

**Developer response:** Hello! I am updating this bug as it should not be happening. There is an update out very soon!

### 5/5 — My political career

*2026-08-16*

3 years 5 months in my first stint! Objective to pass 5 years and then 11 and then onto the UN

**Developer response:** You are on your way to becoming the real PM very soon we think! 😀

### 5/5 — So Glad This Exists

*2026-08-16*

Brilliant game. I’ve always wanted to play something like this, and am glad this had been actualised. I love the satirical elements, they are so quintessentially British. I’m half expecting Alan Partridge to make an appearance as a bumbling MP complaining about the pedestrianisation of Norwich City Centre.

### 5/5 — Enjoyable and highly topical

*2026-08-16*

Very amusing with some resonance with Douglas Adams’s style, and all over the recent history of UK politics from Covid to Burnham. Worth the money and I hope that as political events unfold the game incorporates the latest gaffs.

### 5/5 — Fun but lacking substance

*2026-08-12*

Fun for a while but quickly shows its limitations, could do with some sort of budget mechanic - still well worth the price tag if you like political satire

**Developer response:** Hi there thank you for the review! We are adding a lot more in-depth features very soon such as this! Keep an eye out for its soon fellow PM

### 5/5 — Great game but I have a suggestion

*2026-08-11*

I found this game really entertaining, but I was slightly disappointed there wasn’t a feature to call a snap election. I hope they find a way to incorporate snap elections one day!

**Developer response:** Hi there thank you for the review! We are adding a lot more in-depth features very soon such as this! Keep an eye out for its soon fellow PM!

### 5/5 — Great game

*2026-07-20*

Easy to pickup and put down when you have a spare moment. Interesting premise. Looking forward to more content in the future

**Developer response:** Thank you for the review! Will be regularly updating and expanding the game with more content to keep it fresh!
