Aviation Team ### 3/5 — No longer works 🤨 even updating to 5.82 *2023-10-27* I updated and now I no longer get the wx meters and tafs. Was excellent now not so much. I guess now I will have to pay. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app but while I can select an airport and the line comes up with the choice of metar tad or map, when I select either metar or tag I get a brief message ‘“retrieving data” but then nothing just blank. Even trying to reach the app’s creator gets you a “Go no further” message. I downloaded the latest version and thought it was working when touching the compass button brought down the METAR for the airport near me. But after that, I could not get any other airport’s METAR. The app works properly on my old iPad. iPhone 12 Pro iOS 17.0.3; iPad Air 2 OS 15.7.9. **Developer response:** Dear Valued User, We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. The map is glitchy when I tap between icao’s. I wish they would auto show the raw obs on the map and or color code each depending on if they are IFR or VFR. For the region function I wish there was a search bar. Can I not change the order of my star locations? I wish I could see raw data there as well without having to click on each location and then backing out. I used it to monitor her flights. Good job. ### 3/5 — Uninstalling *2022-07-23, version 5.8* It’s tough to find a good free aviation weather app. This one is decent, but I’m uninstalling for two reasons. First, generates a LOT of notifications and I can’t find a way to pick what I want without subscribing. It also enhances my knowledge of METAR and TAF through quizzes. It also gives alerts to my favorite airports. But it is now totally useless as ads pop up more frequently than information, and ads can not be easily closed. These huge ads pretty much render the app useless. Can’t really even evaluate the app without a ton of ads popping up. Annoying to say the least especially when your in the middle of reading a METAR and the ads just keep popping up. Yeah, it’s worthless ### 1/5 — To many ads, not enough aerodromes or incorrect airport identifiers *2021-01-23* Deleting app. This app does not offer enough airfields. Additionally the primary airfield I operate from, KNDZ Whiting Field, FL is not offered to see the METAR. Additionally when you search for the KNDZ ICAO identifier it shows some other airport! I got it, it’s free so it will have apps. However when the ad pops up in the middle of your screen randomly, and you have to tap off screen to make it go away, that is a safety of flight issue and annoying! Then suddenly the App Store changed the download from the Cloud symbol to the word “upgrade” and that download worked. It is clear that getting the necessary upgrade installed in the App Store was the issue. That done, the app works well again.
