### 2/5 — They are using AI

*2026-09-02, version 5.122.0*

I’m disappointed to write this review since the overwhelming majority seem to love this app. My therapist was recording our sessions using AI and having it create exposures and exposure messages for me in real time. It didn’t feel like I was actually being listened to, because she would be visibly reading off the screen while I was talking and then would send me the AI generated exposures. If I wanted AI input I would just talk to ChatGPT and not waste my time and money on seeking actual professional help. Really disappointing, and that information was not disclosed to me until I got suspicious and asked. Aside from the dehumanizing appointments, that also seems like a HIPAA violation.

My therapist was very nice but we didn’t have concrete plans for our sessions and I felt like I was leading them. I’ve never done exposure therapy and tried to get help so that I wasn’t dealing with this myself. Also, our sessions were cut short probably 4-5 times because the THERAPIST suggested we end early.

### 1/5 — Stop!

*2026-04-03, version 5.113.0*

Stop sending so many notifications! This is not helping someone who perseverates and is trying to get better. Otherwise, the app is a helpful resource as a reminder for upcoming sessions and a point of contact for clients and their LPCs, just take it easy on the constant reminders.

### 1/5 — Another Bad Review

*2026-04-01, version 5.113.0*

Ive been picking my skin for 10 years and i turned to NOCD thinking I could get the help i needed- the first call they were quick to take my method of payment and schedule me with a therapist the following morning. The therapist was 10 minutes late, and her wifi was so bad i couldnt understand anything she was saying so she told me she wanted to reschedule for later that afternoon. She then didnt show up for the afternoon meeting so I wasted my whole day planning around that. Going to take this as my warning to no use NOCD. Take all the bad reviews seriously.

### 1/5 — Lied too

*2026-04-01, version 5.113.0*

Lied to multiple times and insurance coverage and cost and they told they don't cover it after trying to rush my appointments. D
I really think they don't about the patients it all about the money.

### 3/5 — Confusing features

*2026-03-18, version 5.113.0*

The ideas for the features are great but using them in the app is a bit confusing. Eventually I figured out how to assign the tools and such but it was a bit clunky and unclear. Great app for dealing with my OCD.

### 1/5 — Beware Illegal and Fraudulent

*2026-03-16, version 5.113.0*

I was assured that my sessions during my intake call would not exceed $200. I had to wait weeks for my billing to appear (after doing a session a week) when finally I got the bill. My 60 minute teletherapy was billed $340 for each session. I have been in different therapies for a long time and have never been billed such a high amount, especially for telehealth. This platform is a scam and money hungry, praying on vulnerable people. If you truly want help getting better stay far away from NOCD.

### 1/5 — Meh

*2025-12-27, version 5.110.0*

You don’t get to pick your own therapist, one gets assigned to you and I did not like mine. You are better off using a different service where you can pick your own

### 1/5 — Bad experience even though my therapist was great. Charged me hefty fees even after insurance covere

*2025-12-19, version 5.110.0*

I initially had a positive experience with the therapists, but the billing practices were completely unacceptable. I explicitly asked multiple times to confirm that my sessions were covered by insurance and was reassured they were. Months later after 10+ sessions I was suddenly told none of the visits were covered.

By then, they had already charged my card thousands of dollars. Waiting months to disclose incorrect insurance information is irresponsible and unfair to patients. I would strongly caution others not to rely on their insurance confirmations and to monitor billing very closely, regardless of what you’re told.

Happy to SHOW Receipts!!!

### 5/5 — Great

*2025-12-07, version 5.109.1*

Great app really valuable

### 1/5 — DO NOT USE

*2025-12-03, version 5.109.1*

0 stars. What an actual total scam I am so mad I downloaded this stupid app. I did therapy for a single month twice a week and was charged around 1,200 out of pocket for a COPAY. Come to find out a couple months later my that NOCD sent a separate bill to my insurance so I owe 1,200 again for the same therapy sessions. I asked multiple times if my specific insurance was covered and the said it was. I find it very hard to believe that the therapy was 2,400 when all we did were Skype sessions. No actual therapy was done, we were just doing the initial therapy sessions for figuring out issues. Screw this company.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — DISGUSTING AND HORRIBLE

*2026-08-25, version 5.121.0*

NOCD is the most disgusting, evil, and terrible app for OCD that exists. They put out a mainstream ad essentially claiming that health anxiety is a key defining feature of OCD, which is not at all the case for very many. This can warp professional opinions of patients with OCD, potentially harming thousands of innocent people. Furthermore, people without an understanding of OCD, such as your friends or people that you know, are going to invalidate all of your health troubles, if you actually have them, because of harmful ads like this. People with OCD are not necessarily likely to be hysterical, hypochondriacs, or to have ‘health anxiety’, the modern term for saying someone is a self absorbed idiot who is not grounded in reality. It is only somewhat vaguely connected.

### 1/5 — Unbelievably dissatisfied

*2026-08-21, version 5.120.0*

Would leave 0 stars if I could. Scheduled my intake call TWICE and no one ever called me. I called their customer service line twice. First one said “no one is in, I’ll take a message.” ?? Second one said that it must be my “service provider.” I have spam calls UNFILTERED. I have unknown callers allowed to make calls. I set EVERY SINGLE POSSIBLE SETTING to ensure this went through so I could finally get the help I very clearly need. I was offered no solution, no alternative, no help. Short of being told I was annoying them, I was dismissed beyond belief. And for a company that targets people with OCD? Predatory. Instead, it’s T-Mobile’s fault!! What a joke.

### 1/5 — Scam

*2026-07-14, version 5.118.0*

The billing department will overcharge you and then fight you when you call them out on it

### 1/5 — Discharged against my will and denied access after putting me in a shutdown

*2026-06-30, version 5.117.0*

I’m auDHD meaning an extremely literal thinker with nearly total inability to read between the lines. But reading between the lines and guessing was all I was required to do for months. The provider put me thru the circular loops (“Why do you think that is?”, “What do you think it is?”), shocking revelations, and rapid subject changes. My questions left unanswered and my objections were overridden (“Just sign it!”). Enduring all of that effectively put me in a deep shutdown completely disabling me to do anything about therapy. So they discharged me immediately terminating even minimal support such as my ability to browse the groups. It’s been months and I’m still in agony. STAY AWAY!

### 1/5 — garbage

*2026-05-26, version 5.115.0*

garbage

### 1/5 — Was good

*2026-05-12, version 5.114.0*

When my insurance stopped covering my sessions i was not informed, i was having two sessions a week for three months and racked up a $2500 bill without knowing. Absolutely unacceptable

### 1/5 — It is a scam

*2026-04-28, version 5.113.2*

They push you to take as many sessions as possible as quickly as possible, even while waiting for insurance to be approved. Thankfully my counselor was over booked and I was only able to meet with them twice. They just read off a PowerPoint the whole time. I canceled the service and now they are trying to charge nearly a thousand dollars for my two PowerPoint lead sessions. Full blown scam. Looking to take advantage of struggling people saying insurance will cover just to rip the rug out. Plus their services are terrible even if insurance covered it.

### 1/5 — Fraud

*2026-04-17, version 5.113.1*

Bad

### 1/5 — Grifters

*2026-04-16, version 5.113.1*

They’re grifters milking the capitalist system under the guise of being faux caring pseudo-empaths. If you have any level of intuition it’s easy to see through their cornball whitebread facade. They’re in it for the money, hence why they don’t take a lot of insurance and have absurdly high co-pays. Just go on Psychology Today and find an ERP therapist there. You don’t need a corny app with watered down pop psychology features and some useless online community.

### 1/5 — Unclear business practices

*2026-04-08, version 5.113.0*

NOCD refused to give me clear pricing and would not speak to me about literally anything. Literally cannot get a response. My only option was to go into sessions not knowing how much they would cost. Even when trying to cancel they are unresponsive. Scary business!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — OCD

*2026-08-12, version 5.119.0*

If you think you have ocd please use this app and see a therapist. I genuinely look back on my life before I figured out how to manage my life as 2 worlds. The best decision I have ever and probably will ever make in my life.

### 5/5 — good

### 5/5 — Great tool

*2026-04-04, version 5.113.0*

Is there a iPad version?

### 5/5 — Truly has your best interest at heart

*2026-04-03, version 5.113.0*

The therapist recognized that I didn’t need OCD therapy, but rather DBT and improvements in socialization skills and recommended me services to provide some or both

### 5/5 — High hopes

*2026-04-02, version 5.113.0*

I had only just started with this app, but it’s a perfect space to talk about your problems, get feedback and support from people with similar issues and the option for therapy if you live in the US.

### 5/5 — So grateful for NOCD!

*2026-03-09, version 5.113.0*

Anyone who is dealing with or has a loved one who is dealing with any sort of mental disorder can benefit from this app!

### 5/5 — Phenomenal

*2026-02-28, version 5.113.0*

This app is made for people with ocd by people with ocd and that is apparent. I started it yester and haven’t felt calmer in months! And it isn’t reassurance calm it’s just learning to live without reassurance. I love it sm 🫶🏻🫶🏻

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2026-01-31, version 5.110.2*

Helping me with my anxiety and mostly ocd! They have the best therapists! They are kind and supportive but most importantly not judgmental!

### 5/5 — Not Alone Anymore

*2026-01-13, version 5.110.1*

Spiraling feels horrible. Seeing everyone on here struggling just like me makes me feel less alone. Seeing the words of support and encouragement from others on this app makes me hopeful. I’m so happy I found this app!
