### 5/5 — Choose-Your-Own Adventure with Real Replay Value!

*2017-09-07, version 1.5.0*

This game is so fun, I'm playing it when I should be doing other things! But it's an auto-save system, so you can just as easily open it up in line at the DMV or on the train to work. Only a few hours in, and I know I'll be playing through it again: what would happen if I had jumped out the window instead of sneaking out in that costume?

Edit for v.1.5: The designer has been very attentive to feedback and diligent in rooting out bugs. How many permutations of endings can one game have‽

### 5/5 — Immersive and enjoyable!

*2017-07-18, version 1.0*

I've been playing almost nonstop since I downloaded. It's a swift, simple story that arcs and branches as you make choices. You can be a rogue and a rake or a gentleman or lady, as you like. It's been fun to explore the permutations of the story and to see the different ways you can get to your goals (or fail to!). I love it!

### 1/5 — Unplayable

*2024-03-24*

The image keeps blocking out a large section of the text. This happens on every page of the game. Really disappointing. Oh well.

### 3/5 — Looks promising:

*2024-05-14*

Formatting is very buggy on IPhone SE. makes it a bit unusable, but looks like the app must work well on other devices.

**Developer response:** Thank you for this. We are investigating if the display problems are fixable. We appreciate your patience.

### 5/5 — One of my faves

*2023-05-10*

I love it so much I own it on Steam and here.

### 5/5 — Great game

*2020-03-08, version 2.0.5*

Nocked! has everything you could hope for—great writing, solid mechanics, logical design, and immersive art. It also innovates compared to similar games, offering an interesting resource management element. Comparable to Sorcery!, it is a fun and highly replayable experience.

### 5/5 — Best narrative game for iPhone

*2019-10-12, version 2.0.4*

For me this is hands down the best narrative game I’ve found for iPhone, better than 80 days or Lifeline. No complicated mechanics, just a good story, lots of replayability and great presentation. This is not your average choose your own adventure where you die if you go left rather than right: you are the hero of this story and dominate it - if you mess up, you don’t get a happy ending. I really can’t wait for the authors to put out another similar game.

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2019-08-04, version 2.0.0*

Huge fan of interactive fiction and this stands among the best. Huge differences in some paths and so much missable content.

### 5/5 — Great story game!

*2019-07-29, version 2.0.0*

I read/played through multiple times on the first version. And now that the developer has released a new version with added storylines I’m stoked! So glad I never deleted this, or else I wouldn’t have seen the update. Time to revisit this old favorite and see what’s new!

### 5/5 — A change of heart

*2018-06-26, version 1.5.5*

At first I disliked this book due to the cost and sometimes the choices are not clear on what Robins intent is. As a HUGE choice reader I do have the say the story varies widely and is a challenge even at the easy levels in a way. Because of the diversity and the shear volume of choices it seems unfair to give this anything other than 5 stars.

### 5/5 — Charming and replayable adventure

*2018-01-14, version 1.5.5*

This is a well-written and charming choose-your-own adventure with immense replayability, as you’re always left wondering what would have happened with the other choices. Technically a bit clunky at times, and it takes a while for new devices to be properly supported, but this is forgivable for an indie game.

### 5/5 — One of the greats

*2017-10-08, version 1.5.1*

Resource management, multiple endings and different play styles makes for high replay value. The story itself is well written and really draws you in. Characters are fleshed out and really makes you care about what happens to them. One of the best available in the store right now.

### 5/5 — Complex and addictive choose your own adventure game!

*2017-09-13, version 1.5.0*

Nocked! has good storylines and adventure and is pretty addictive. The complexity and thoughtfulness of the huge amount of choices is exciting. I’ve yet to figure out how to “win;” i’ve only been mildly effective at moving the story to my benefit. I’d love to have in game save points so i could try all the branching decisions to see all the twists and turns. The art is terrific. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — A lot of variables

*2017-09-12, version 1.5.0*

I've played through the intro several time and even the very beginning has a lot of different ways to go. (I recommend stealing the horse)
