It’s my go to for B&W conversion. Generally, when I have a chance to take pictures, I have to settle for the time and circumstances available. Lots of things are beyond my control. That’s why i like this app. I gain some semblance of control over how the picture will become B&W. You don't just pick from a group of samples and your done. You adjust the ellipse to the size and shape you want and where it covers the picture which will be the lighter area (outside the ellipse will be darker). And those are parameters you set. You also get to set the contrast level. It may not sound like much but it allows you to work the picture how you want it and the way the picture warrants. I love the inky blacks attainable while getting wonderful grays as well. When done just right, I feel as if I could enter the picture.
