I think this app and developer finally went under :-(. I would love to hear otherwise! I’m still owed half a year’s subscription. ### 1/5 — Cant even create an account *2023-12-21* I really wanted to see what this app could do. I went to sign up, and every time it asks me to choose my instrument, the app shuts down. I deleted the app and reinstalled it, same problem. I was able to enter all of the other required information with the exception of choosing an instrument. Every time I would try to make a selection, there would be no instrument to select only a few alphabetical letters on the right hand side. And when you touch them to scroll, the app shuts down.I believe the developers need to make a few corrections in the ability to log into the app. ### 1/5 — Downloadable MP3 file *2023-09-24* Unfortunately, the application and the website does not give you the option to download the MP3. This would be incredibly helpful. ### 1/5 — Downloaded the app. It is only in French with no English option. *2020-12-16, version 2.2.0* Misleading from the App Store saying it is explicitly in English. **Developer response:** Hi! The app is indeed available in French, English, German and Chinese. You can change the language either by selecting the globe in the welcome pages, or from the profile menu once you're logged in. However, around a year ago it just stopped working and since that time it has not been possible to access either the site beyond the log in page, nor my previous purchases on Nomad Play. Shame though, I found it to be really good value for money and a super enjoyable practice aid. Here’s hoping that someone takes it on and reinvigorates this brilliant facility. ### 1/5 — Downloadable MP3 file *2024-08-21* Unfortunately, the application and the website does not give you the option to download the MP3. This would be incredibly helpful. Update: the app no longer works. I paid for recordings that I can no longer access. This is unacceptable. I though I should download this app to try it. I should’ve read through ALL the reviews first. I have tried numerous times to sign up but it crashes each time. I wish this would’ve worked. I have tried to create an account 3 times now but you have to select an instrument. There are none to choose from and it crashes out each time. You have done an amazing job, and the new version is even better. Enhance search and allow navigate through results to make possible discoveries and it will be perfect. ### 5/5 — Amazing catalog of music! *2020-06-10* This app is amazing! I use it as part of my daily practice. It has a very large choice of repertoire for Oboe. I was having problems subscribing but have opted to purchase individual titles instead via the website. I have found that when I slow down the tempo of the backing music when trying to master a difficult passage, sometimes the sound skips which is a little annoying. It would also be great if settings for the piece could be saved when I open the app the next time. For example, I prefer a visual count in rather than a click metronome. **Developer response:** Hi! We're working on your suggested improvements and we should hopefully be able to give a brand new UX soon :) ### 5/5 — Unbelievable resource *2020-05-05, version 1.4.2* For any musician to practice, or just play pieces they have always wanted to play but never had the opportunity. Great selection of pieces, very easy to use. This is my dream app!!! **Developer response:** Thank you!! Stay safe and keep playing music :) ### 4/5 — Search function makes this app frustrating *2021-02-02, version 2.3.1* Any music on the homepage is easy to sift through. And if you’re able to find something to play on the homepage, the app works great! HOWEVER, if you try the search function, it takes forever to load and sometimes doesn’t even load at all, making it near impossible to sift through whatever catalog of music they have. If you click on catalog, you’ll run into similar issues - you have to scroll forever to find your instrument and many times the app doesn’t fully load all the options. In every other way this app is a great tool though, for both professionals and amateurs. Hopefully the search function is fixed soon. Will happily change my review from 4 stars to 5 stars. ### 3/5 — Brilliant and worthy idea but... *2020-04-15* ...too expensive and crashes very often. **Developer response:** Hi, we're so sorry about that. However the app is super buggy and crashes at almost any opportunity. M subscription is sometimes not recognised. I’ve downloaded songs and tried to play them offline but it crashes when trying to open the score.
