## What is Nomika · Name days?

Nomika is the name-day calendar for you. Choose your country's calendar, follow the people who matter to you, and Nomika tells you who is celebrating — today, this week, and on the days you would otherwise miss.

WHO CELEBRATES TODAY
The Today tab opens on today's names, the people you follow who carry them, and the week ahead. Easter-relative name days are calculated for every year, so moveable feasts land on the right date.

20 CALENDARS
Hungary, Slovakia, Czechia, Poland, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Romania, Ukraine (revised and traditional), Bulgaria, Greece, Russia, Sweden, Denmark, Latvia, France, Italy, Spain and Ireland. Switch calendars at any time — the people you follow are re-matched automatically.

THE PEOPLE YOU FOLLOW
Pick contacts and Nomika matches their names to the calendar on your device, across Latin, Greek and Cyrillic spellings. A name with several readings is set aside for you to confirm. Anyone can be followed by name alone — they do not need to be in your contacts.

FAVOURITE NAME DAYS
Follow a name without a person behind it — your own, a family name, one you simply like — and it appears with everyone else.

LOOK UP ANY NAME OR DAY
Search a name to find its day, or open a date to see who celebrates.

ONE REMINDER A DAY
A single notification, at the time you choose, only on days someone you follow or a favourite name celebrates. Nothing on the other days.

• Name days corrected in every calendar. Names listed on several days now match their customary day, the Russian and traditional Ukrainian calendars follow the Julian calendar correctly every year, and the Romanian St. George rule is fixed. Everyone you follow is matched again automatically — name days you set by hand are kept.
  • Setup now suggests the calendar that matches your iPhone's language and region.
  • Switching calendars has moved to Settings and asks for confirmation first, since it re-matches everyone you follow.
  • The list of people you follow can now be collapsed on the People tab.
  • Your subscription status is refreshed every time you return to the app.
  • Smaller fixes and improvements.
