Both times I was amazed at how quickly someone from Noonlight was reaching out to me to see if I was safe. Within 10 seconds they were texting and/or calling me, so knowing they’ll be fast like that if I’m actually in a real emergency is such a comfort! I was at a family function and one of my nieces got a hold of my phone and activated the button without me knowing. They really do show up and soon. They had one officer coming up the front door and the other went through the garage because the door was open, and they thought that was a red flag or point of entry. They had bulletproof vests on and were ready to come in if necessary “guns a blazing.” I was impressed and actually shocked that it worked like I did so quickly. Never getting rid of this app or this company! In 2018, they changed the name from SafeTrek to Noonlight, and the service I was paying $2.99/month for became free. Nobody told me this. 8 years later, I’m finding out that they have been charging me $2.99/month under the name SafeTrek for a service tier that no longer exists and only giving me access to the free version. I’ve been paying $2.99/month for 8 years for something that has been free. The only way I got my account deleted was by searching for an email online and then repeatedly emailing their privacy team and threatening to file complaints. A safety app that makes it this hard to remove your personal data is a serious problem. This is an app that stores and TRACKS your exact location in realtime and personal details. They make it extremely hard to take that back on purpose which feels like they are who people should be concerned about are not protectors. ### 1/5 — 911 agencies do not use noonlight ! *2026-02-16, version 2.19.2* The concept is nice and all but to all the 911 dispatchers and police officers , noonlight “dispatchers” have absolutely no training and they do not support law enforcement. They sent police to my place of work, which means they had my exact location even without me using the button and without even having an active subscription.
