## What is Noor?

Noor is a calm, private, all-in-one Islamic companion built for new Muslims and made for every Muslim. Prayer, the Qur'an, learning, du'as, and everyday Islamic tools, together in one beautiful app. No ads, works offline, and religiously accurate: content is sourced and scholar-reviewed, and the Qur'an text comes only from a verified dataset and never AI-generated.

THE QUR'AN
• All 114 surahs — read as a list, as swipeable Mushaf pages, or translation-only
• Verse-by-verse recitation with your choice of reciter; plays in the background and on the lock screen
• Tajwid colour-coding, tap-any-word meanings, and tafsir from three editions
• Uthmani or Indo-Pak script, with adjustable Arabic fonts and size
• Translation, transliteration, bookmarks, and search (even in Arabic without harakat)

PRAYER
• Accurate prayer times with a live countdown to the next salah (12 calculation methods)
• Adhan and gentle reminders — on time or minutes early, scheduled on your device
• Qibla compass with live bearing and distance to the Kaaba
• How to Pray, step by step — every posture and recitation with audio and male/female illustrations
• Prayer rules by madhab (Hanafi, Shafi'i, Maliki, Hanbali)

LEARN
• Learn to read the Qur'an from zero — the Qaidah, tap-and-hear, one tile at a time
• Qur'anic Arabic course with quizzes and spaced-repetition review
• A "Start here" journey for new Muslims — the basics, in plain English

DU'AS & DHIKR
• Hisnul-Muslim supplications by occasion, with translation and audio
• Tap-anywhere digital tasbih with guided sequences
• The 99 Names of Allah, with meaning and audio

KNOWLEDGE

• Scholar-authored fatwas with cited evidence
• Halal checker for foods, ingredients and E-numbers
• Plain-English glossary and Ask-a-Scholar

EVERYDAY TOOLS

• Works offline · No ads · Free
• Seven languages, including full right-to-left Arabic

For personal religious rulings, always consult a qualified local scholar.
