## What is Nope Tracker?

Easily toggle NopeTracker off (blue lightning bolt) if necessary.

Shouldn't you be in control of which websites and services your devices connect to?
If you visit [somesite].com, why should ads.tracker.pixel.[anothersite].com connect to you?

NopeTracker blocks them — and shows you, in plain sight, exactly which third-party services a page is trying to reach. You decide which ones get through, then refresh, and decide if any more should be allowed to connect.

NopeTracker never blocks the site you actually came to see, only the tag-along third parties you didn't know you were inviting.

Most blockers work invisibly. Rules go in, decisions come out, and you never see what was blocked or what slipped past. NopeTracker turns that around. A thin bar at the top of every page lists every third-party host the page is trying to reach. Each one is a toggle. Anything you didn't intentionally visit is blocked by default; if a site genuinely needs one to work — a CDN, a payment processor, a captcha — flip it on.

Features

• Live transparency. Every third-party host appears as a pill at the top of the page. Hover or tap a pill to see the actual URLs being requested.

• Granular control. Allow on this site, allow on all sites, or explicitly block on this site — your choice, per host.

• Suggested allowances. Domains commonly required for a page to function are highlighted, so you don't have to guess which ones to let through.

• Blocked by default. Trackers and other third-party services can't observe you unless you choose to let them.

• Per-host precision. Allowing events.example.com doesn't allow analytics.example.com — sibling subdomains stay independent.

• On-device and private. No accounts, no telemetry, no third-party servers. Your decisions stay on your device.

NopeTracker is not an ad-cleanup tool — we don't hide ad shells inside the page. We block the network requests behind them, so the third parties serving those ads never see that you exist in the first place. The page loses the tracker; you keep your privacy.

Works on iPhone, iPad, and Mac with Safari.

Privacy you can verify.
Our apps do not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, tracking SDKs, data brokers, or third-party service connections. We encourage every user to turn on Apple’s App Privacy Report to compare this for themselves.
To enable App Privacy Report on iPhone or iPad, open Settings > Privacy & Security > App Privacy Report > Turn On App Privacy Report. After you use the app iOS will show the network domains contacted by the app.
For our apps, expected network activity should be limited to Apple-operated services needed for normal App Store, iCloud, device, or system functionality.

We believe privacy claims should be inspectable, not merely promised.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.9 — 2026-08-14

• Huge tracker lists now scroll inside the bar instead of running off the screen, saving you a visit to the granular extension button.

• "Allow on this visit" options are now found in the granular extension button, matching the bar.

• "Reset everything" now clears all rules and settings, returning the app to a fresh install.

• See your page as a network.

The Manage Rules page now opens with a live map of the last page you loaded: your site at the center, and every third party that tried to connect arranged around it — the closer to the center, the earlier it loaded. Names with a strike through them were blocked and never loaded. Domains owned by the same company share a color.

• Follow the chain

Trackers rarely arrive alone: one loads, then quietly brings its friends. The map now shows who loaded whom, branching outward level by level. Big recruiters grow into hubs of their own, and you can tap "Inspect this network" to zoom into any nest — the rest of the map fades back, and a trail of buttons leads you back to where you started. Selecting any tracker lights up its exact path back to your page, and lets you allow or block it right there.

• However, refreshing starts fresh.

The map redraws for your latest load only. Block a tracker, refresh the page, and watch its whole branch disappear.

• Better on iPhone

The Manage Rules page has been rebuilt for smaller screens: properly sized text, comfortable buttons, and no more pinching and zooming to read your rules.

### 1.8.2 — 2026-08-11

• Support for iOS 18.6
• Minor Bug Fixes

### 1.8.1 — 2026-07-30

• Fixed an issue where some pages couldn't be scrolled while the NopeTracker toolbar was visible, even though the page had fully loaded.
• Improved toolbar compatibility with sites that use full-screen overlays and pop-up panels.
A clearer on/off switch. The switch in the popup now turns NopeTracker fully off — it steps out of every open page immediately, no reload needed. Pausing tracker blocking is separate, and lives on the lightning bolt in the NopeTracker bar. The toolbar icon tells you which is which at a glance: bright when running, crossed out when paused, faded when off.

New: Interruption Guard. Some (still) sites fought back when their trackers were blocked, resulting in either blanking the page, popping fake warning dialogs, or forcing your browser to reload or redirect somewhere you didn't ask to go. NopeTracker now stops these takeover attempts while leaving the page you're reading untouched.

• Pages can no longer wipe their own content in retaliation for blocked trackers.
• Fake "there was a problem" pop-ups are answered with a polite no — real dialogs from sites you're using still work normally.
• If a page tries to reload or redirect itself without you asking, NopeTracker holds the navigation and asks you first, showing exactly where it wanted to go.
• Quick access. A new switch at the top of the popup lets you allow pop-ups and redirects on demand (some websites require this disabled to correctly login).

### 1.7 — 2026-07-23

Some sites retaliate when their trackers are blocked. NopeTracker now stops
them.
• Forced redirects are blocked — and if a page tries to send you elsewhere,
you're asked first (for example: some sites still use legitimate popups to generate a 'new tab').
• Forced reload loops are stopped. Your own reload button still works normally.
• Invisible full-screen overlays are cleared, so pages can still scroll and tap when trackers are denied.
• Pages can no longer blank themselves out when a tracker is blocked.
• Fixed: ordinary site dialogs were sometimes auto-dismissed.
• Leaner and faster on busy pages.
