El problema es que al final solo lo puedes usar como almacén de datos y poco más porque por ejemplo podría estar bien poder ver los vídeos directamente desde la aplicación pero a la mínima que superan los 50 MB, ya no te sale una previsualización. ### 3/5 — Works well but basic. *2026-02-19, version 2.34.0* Works good as a basic cloud storage solution and it’s great that it offers end to end encryption. But lacks features, such as a dark mode, auto upload photos category, seeing the properties/data of files and photos, cropping etc. Needs cooking. ### 2/5 — Missing iOS Integration *2026-01-29, version 2.33.0* The use case for most users (if not a majority then a significant minority) requires full integration into iOS (ie native Apple file provider support). Without it the app is severely handicapped. If it’s not #1 on Nord’s roadmap for the Locker app it really needs to be moved up. Besides that one glaring gap, it’s a perfectly functional app and the actual service behind it is fantastic. ### 3/5 — One major gripe *2026-01-10, version 2.33.0* I wish you could view the photos in a gallery without having to load them one by one ### 2/5 — Terrible *2025-12-31, version 2.33.0* Terrible experience using this app. One my subscription is up in two years I will be retiring Nords platform. I still haven’t figured out how I can move a file/image from one folder to another. The security for this app is good and I like how it locks with Face ID and also it’s hard to hack into. One suggestion is please add dark mode! Then I’ll put 5 stars for this app ### 2/5 — Leaves A Lot To Be Desired *2025-08-11, version 2.32.0* Pros: it's secure, private storage. The Windows app isn't bad. I genuinely **want** this app to work well. Cons: The iPhone and iPad apps provide a poor user experience. - The app locks itself in the middle of while you're actively using it. - When uploads fail it won't tell you the reason; and uploads fail at a moderate frequency. - If you want to play a video from NordLocker, you're forced to stay in portrait mode. - No thumbnails for files. Suggestions for Nord: - Allow the Files app to connect to NordLocker since the Files app has a better and easier experience. - Stop locking while the app is in active use. - If the app locks, it should take you back to where you were upon unlocking. - Allow landscape mode for videos. - Media should have thumbnails. - Allow users to upload entire folders/directories. - Better error messages, please. - Give the app some genuine TLC. I'm a software engineer with 15+ years experience. I'd be happy to provide more feedback or to participate in beta groups or whatnot, if it would be helpful. ### 2/5 — Crazy that Nord would put their stamp of approval on this lol *2025-08-10, version 2.32.0* I’m a paid Nord subscriber to both VPN and Pass. I was fired up to used NordLocker… But it’s virtually unusable on the phone. So many simple things you should be able to do, but you can’t. Most prominently — you can’t save images to your phone… That seems like a major design oversight and an easy fix. Pass and VPN are literally sooooo good. Awesome apps, Locker absolutely needs to be reevaluated. ### 2/5 — Ein Feature fehlt mir *2025-07-31* Bitte ermöglicht es, Dateien an die App Nordlocker zu schicken um sie dort im Storage abzulegen. Wir freuen uns über Ihren Vorschlag und werden ihn auf jeden Fall an unser engagiertes Team zur Prüfung weiterleiten. -P.B. ### 2/5 — Barely works *2025-07-28, version 2.32.0* App barely works for me, most the time it won’t even sign me in, I click sign in after logging into the nord account browser sign-in page, then have to manually click my passwords button on my phones keyboard, search for NordLocker in my NordPass app which will put my password in but when I click sign in, nothing happens, nothing. No wrong password, no resemblance of a loading screen or anything.. when it was working for me it wasn’t too bad other than being really bare-bones so I stopped using it till the past week where I’ve been using it on desktop as it’s been improved quite a bit with actual thumbnails and faster uploading/loading times etc. however it seems the mobile version simply doesn’t work properly… sad because I’d love to have a cloud storage but I don’t wanna pay for a new subscription with a new service so if NordLocker could be on the same level as Dropbox or OneDrive then I’d probably use it exclusively ### 1/5 — Needs lot of improvement *2025-07-23* Synchronising data is one of the most difficult thing to do in the app. Data cannot be uploaded in bulk. Other issue is the moment app is updated it asks for Login credentials. Please be ready to fill in again and again. Next issue is the movement one exit from the app when the synchronisation is going on; synchronisation stops and the data is not uploaded. Freezes when trying to access search, open folders, etc. most of the time. Everything is just upload one document at a time. The developers really need to wake up to what folks actually want! But now I can’t even open the app on my phone. Tried multiple times, it crashed immediately. Ended up hating it, it’s so secure you can’t even log into it when you want without major, major, MAJOR hassle. The files are slow to load, previews are bad. Turns out, there’s a “Cloud Password” that no matter how many times I reset it it would return a “something went wrong. Try again later”. Oh yeah, something went wrong? That’s all the info you can give? It’s beyond frustrating. I’m a new subscriber too and was excited to use Nord’s extra “features”, which they sold as part of the complete package. Turns out it’s just to fool people to opt for the higher tier. Allow us to upload entire folders on iPad ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Nice system, could use more features. *2026-04-23, version 2.35.0* NordLocker itself is quite a well designed app. I’m able to easily transfer files cross device, and keep information safe. It appears to be very secure and surprisingly responsive. Having to put in your cloud password for every login can get annoying at times, but realistically it’s helping keep my information safe. I would like to see more features on IOS and IPad OS to make the overall software more useful, such as a dedicated photo locker. Passwords are annoying but necessary auto lock features are annoying but can save you from a costly error.
