## What is Nordlys?

Know when the aurora is coming — and when it's actually worth going outside.

Nordlys combines real-time data from NOAA, GFZ Potsdam, the Norwegian Meteorological Institute and NASA into one honest answer: your chance of seeing the northern lights from where you stand, tonight, hour by hour. It accounts for geomagnetic activity, darkness, cloud cover and moonlight — not just the Kp number.
