I use Babbel as my daily language app but have always found its practice sessions to be quite weak. These drills fill in the gaps that I’ve been missing. Fantastic! The Story Reader is a great way to practice listening to someone speak Norwegian at a normal conversational pace and the Article Guesser is super helpful for learning the correct articles for nouns. I haven’t tried the other features yet but I am looking forward to doing so. The bi-directional flash cards (English-Norsk and Norsk-English) are great, and I really appreciate the noun gender quizzing. My only minor complaint is the word list is slightly limited - if you are using it alongside other language learning tools there are going to be a handful of words that are missing (synd, frekk, and kjedelig are some I’ve encountered from my book). A feature to add custom words (even without matching audio) would be greatly appreciated. Will be even better once some of the features are fully developed (sentence bank & story reader) regardless will be using it to help with my Norwegian as it is already so useful to my learning. I like how the app tracks your progress and helps you to build on your knowledge. As engaging as duolingo but testing your knowledge meaningfully in a way that will actually improve your Norwegian when used as a supplementary learning tool to other study (courses, other forms of self-teaching). Would be nice if they added a podcast feature in addition to story reader where you could listen to fluid conversations at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels to assist with listening comprehension that can be applied to daily life activities (e.g workplace small talk, meeting new people, interacting with a cashier, discussing hobbies, discussing world events, discussing popular culture and interesting debates etc).
