Now when I try to open the app it shuts down immediately. I deleted the app and downloaded it again from App Store hoping that would solve the issue but it happened again. Packed with crucial info about local attractions and services, there are also various themed routes you can follow (for example if you want to see lots of castles!) or you can create your journey around specific sites you’d like to see, which gives you more independence and can cater to your individual needs. The app highlights must-see locations, but also makes it easy to discover hidden gems and build them into your travels. The thing that really sets it apart for me though is the audio content. The app is filled with local music, as well as folklore and stories which have been passed down through generations of people living and working along the NC500. We were really excited to do this famous route, and the audio channels made a long family car journey with 3 kids and a dog much more bearable! For some reason I am unable to see all tours (even after ticking them all in settings) which means I am missing out on lists of low level walks etc... ### 3/5 — Good to a point… *2024-06-01, version 2.10.6* The map in the app shows the official route, however, when you ask the app to provide route guidance it shows the fastest route. The only niggle, hence 4 stars, is the filters always reset when the app is closed. Having to select personal choices each time I use the app is annoying. Incredible well curated and meaningful viewpoints, villages and ruins listing on a live and visual map. Most important of all, the music.
