The bulb it fine I love it but the app always crashes. However you have to me in the room so it changes or you have to leave your moble device in their or else it wont stay connected. After all the bulb is ok but the app isnt the best. ### 2/5 — Upgraded to a better bulb *2021-04-16, version 2.09* I used this app for a good while with the bulb included and although I was fond of it at first. Soon it got real tiring when the lightbulb would not connect to the app and I would have to turn the light off and on again before it could reconnect. But it only got worse, at one point even if I turned the light off and on it would not detect the bulb and I would have to delete it off the app and search for it EVERY SINGLE TIME I tried to use this bulb. God I wish this app was better, then maybe the bulb I bought wouldn’t be in the trash right now. ### 2/5 — Timer not fixed *2021-03-23, version 2.09* I like everything about this except TIMER is not fixed it doesn’t work I hate this cause that’s the whole reason I bought this so it would turn off on its own while going to bed huge disappointment especially when u said you fixed it 3 months ago plzzz fix this issue cause I totally would have given 5 stars ### 3/5 — Great bulb terrible app *2021-03-22, version 2.09* One night I was going to turn my bulbs brightness down because I was trying to sleep and it would let me 3 seconds into the app and then instantly kick me out, I couldn’t even report a bug because of how fast it kicked me out. ### 2/5 — Wouldn’t really recommend *2021-03-16, version 2.09* The actual bulb/ light is really great and the selection of colors is really good as well. The main issue is the app. It always disconnects from the bulb and makes you turn the light off and on again for it to reconnect. It does this every single time which gets tiring. ### 2/5 — Don’t buy any more *2021-03-02, version 2.09* The bulb itself is awesome. The app just doesn’t work. Lately it just keeps crashing. There aren’t that many options for effects. Besides changing color it has this music setting that doesn’t allow you to play music from the phone simultaneously which just makes it seem redundant. Even for $10 it’s very underwhelming. Terrific concept- just needs to work ### 2/5 — Great concept, horrible delivery *2021-02-07, version 2.09* The light is decent if you’re using it for a lap and changing color. I tried to use it in my ceiling fan and even when the light switch was off it would flash. Also, the music part is definitely not well thought out. You can’t go to any other apps and it will only work if you have music playing around you- it will not work with music playing on your phone. Which is what the packaging leads your to believe. Its a great idea, but this company failed at delivery. ### 3/5 — Bluetooth not connecting *2021-01-10, version 2.09* The bulb is working fine and the colors change to show that you can connect but every time I tap add device on the app it says searching and than I get a black bar so I’m confused on why it’s not showing up or what I need to do to connect to it 🤷🏽‍♀️ ### 2/5 — nice bulb. But the app needs a little fixing. *2021-01-04, version 2.09* So the color wheel, I think it would be better if you could slide your finger across the wheel to change the color because then you could find the perfect color. I think the timer could last longer, also I used the timer and it said the bulb was offline and crashed the app upon opening it. Please fix that. Also if you could add a day night future, so that when it’s day it turns on (it syncs with your alarm app) and when night it turns off, I honestly think that would be very cool! I would love to see a new update that has a party disco where you it just changes colors even if you left the app or listening to music. But other then that it’s fine. ### 2/5 — Just okay *2020-12-05, version 2.09* We use this light in our nursery, it works well as long as you set it and forget it. If we set a color and leave it alone it will keep that color all night. Our issues come when we try to adjust the light because once you lock your phone the app disconnects and wants us to turn the bulb on/off. Like I said before if you set it and forget it it works well but the app needs serious work. ### 3/5 — Good but not nearly great *2020-12-05, version 2.09* This bulb is cool, but not great. It has some flaws in the app that could make it way better! It seems that after a short time you need to turn the Bob off and then on for it to reconnect with the Wi-Fi on your app so that you can control it via your phone. Kind of defeats the purpose, doesn’t it? Also, it would be great if they would add this to the skills for Alexa so that you can control it via Alexa. ### 4/5 — Needs some improvement *2020-11-14, version 2.04* I RLLY wanted to give this a 5 star rating, but it needs some work. First things first If your maybe older or can’t put led color changing lights on your ceiling like those crazy famous ones then this is the bulb for you. It has the same colors, and mostly bright(Depending on the color.) some things this app need improvement on is I would like to see a option were you can make the colors change without having to be on the app like a button that says, “Offline change colors” or something like that. another thing is the brightness try and make it brighter. But otherwise, this is a very smart idea!! Keep improving and you’ll get it!! :) ### 4/5 — They really need to actually fix this app *2020-10-09, version 2.0* This lightbulb would be perfect if the app would just work you are never able to switch the color of the bomb if you close the app ever so good luck using your phone if you want to have this light on ### 3/5 — Smart for like 2005, but you get what you pay for. *2020-09-23, version 1.41* If you want to be able to change the light you’ll just have to turn the switch for the light on and off so that it can recalibrate. Yes, it kinda defeats the purpose of it being a smart bulb, but if you can get over having to turn the switch on and off all the time to recalibrate the light you’ll like it. Once it actually calibrates when you flip the switch on the light it actually dims and goes between colors halfway decently. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Bulb is great, app isn’t *2023-12-12* I’ve had this bulb for years and had it in a box lace where I rarely changed the color. However, recently I’ve put it in my bedroom where the default color and brightness is to harsh. Other smart bulbs and apps can be programmed to stay on a particular setting all the time. This bulb and app always default to the factory setting, what’s worse and totally frustrating is that to change the color and setting of the bulb, I have to uninstall and reinstall the app, EVERY TIME I want to use it. Im moving in two week, otherwise this thing would be in the trash. ### 1/5 — We need an update *2021-05-25, version 2.10* Every time I need to change the color. the app doesn’t work. We need a update and more features. This app company has great potential but they need to keep up with the app’s needs like making sure it doesn’t lose connection randomly, better music and lighting patterns and higher/ brighter quality light bulbs ### 1/5 — Light is fine, app is terrible. *2021-02-24, version 2.09* UI nightmare aside, this app simply doesn’t work. Once you navigate away from the app, when you navigate back in order to change the color or turn off the light, the light will say it’s disconnected. This requires you to get up and turn the light off then back on then redo the setup process for the bulb again before being able to connect and change the color. Super annoying and defeats the purpose of the product. ### 1/5 — Are you really going to keep taking money *2020-12-19, version 2.09* Are you really going to keep taking money from people during a pandemic. $10 bucks may not seem like much but it is when your selling thousands of these bulbs that don’t function. It’s Christmas and a huge let down and a pain cause now I have to go return something. It’s wasting my time and money. I’m aggravated that you guys are not being accountable for your product. Is this ethical and fair to the consumer. I’m going to reach out to my BROTHER who’s a new anchor for fox 26. He’s affiliated with a few people who’s passion is confronting issues like this. Buyers Beware. This is straight up a non functional product from the initial app instillation. If there’s spelling error and typos, my apologies. Too annoyed to go back and review again how ticked I am. I’m going to give the app another week to see if someone is interested in solving this 100% of the time issue. Thank you ### 1/5 — BAD APP *2020-11-21, version 2.04* I loved this lightbulb and honestly didn’t mind the app. It would crash from time to time but as soon as I turned the light off and on again everything would work smoothly. The app has updated and it’s worse than it was before. Crashing.. I also don’t like that there isn’t a pre setting for primary colors ex. Red is my favorite color light but I can never get it on red in the color wheel always pink🙃 Not to mention they have now got rid of the on/off option for the light and that was my favorite part about the light. See y’all in 11 months when you finally fix this problem! ### 1/5 — Terrible app *2020-09-18, version 1.3* I first got it set up when I received this as a gift for my birthday august 23 it all worked okay but now the app just crashes and won’t even open. The last update was apparently 10 months ago and was supposed to fix a “bug”, which is crazy because it’s done nothing to help. Without the app the blub stays one color (white) and is practically useless. I loved this while it worked and I’d love to see it work again. ### 1/5 — Horrible app *2020-09-18, version 1.3* The bulb works fine, but this app is so terrible. It won’t even open for me currently, and I’ve deleted and redownloaded it about 5 times by this point. In the past I’ve had issues changing the color too: I had already set a color and had to turn the bulb off and on, and restart the app to make it change to another color. I would definitely recommend using a different product, because the app is the only way it seems you can control the bulb, and if the app doesn’t even open, I cannot operate my bulb at all. ### 1/5 — Horrible app experience *2020-09-17, version 1.3* I bought this today thinking it would be cool since it caught my eye! What a waste. I try to download the app and open it but it crashes before it even loads. So I thought I could uninstall and restart my phone, but then again the app crashed even before I saw the logo. If the app would open and work fine I feel like it would be a lot better. Bought it 20 minutes ago and I feel like bringing it right back to the store. I used to get frustrated with it, now i enjoy it! ### 5/5 — Bugs Fixed!! *2020-10-26, version 2.02* So I got this lamp for my birthday from a friend, and I was really upset when the app didn’t work because I loved the light bulb. I want to note that this was in mid September. The app would crash so often and it was impossible to use. It is now October, a little bit before Halloween, and they finally updated it! The bugs are fixed, and it works really well! The light colors are bright and there are a bunch of options, as well as you can turn the light on and off from your bed, it’s perfect. The bulb was just so beautiful! The app is pretty easy to figure out and use! The only 2 problem I have with this app Is I can’t seem to figure out how to make a favorite color. It just comes up white and when I click on a color it will appear on my light bulb but not my “favorite color”. The second thing isn’t that big, but it has a delay on the “dimming” which isn’t really a problem but it can get annoying. But this app deserves a 4/5! ______ Overall I’d give this a 8.3/10. If your looking for a aesthetic room look then go for this! I would recommend led lights better, but this is a great product if you can’t find led lights! ### 4/5 — App Fixes *2021-08-31, version 2.10* Okay when I first bought this bulb a couple months ago the app was TERRIBLE and I mean completely GARBAGE.
