I don’t even want to play this one. I played 2 levels and stopped. I hate the graphics. I don’t know why they changed them so much from the previous ones, there was nothing wrong with them. But this one is such a drastic change! I don’t like them at all. I won’t be continuing with this one, which sucks, cause I even like the storylines for these. But the graphics are just bothering way too much for some reason. ### 3/5 — A bit buggy *2025-04-27, version 1.0.41* The game is good and can be quite difficult on the hard level but there are bugs in the achievements in that there are a number of them that just don’t work. You can’t click on an achievement, you can’t interact with the animals and even though you finish the game, it doesn’t recognise that you’ve defeated the serpent. So if getting achievements is your thing, you will not like this game ### 3/5 — Hard to complete achievements *2025-01-16, version 1.0.41* Fun game - lots of ads which slow you down or crash. But most annoying is that you can’t tell which levels you haven’t completed the achievements on which means playing all the levels again. Why change things just for the sake of it? Constantly having to restart the game to finish levels, or jus to get it full size on the screen. What happened with the artwork? Nowhere near the charming, detailed graphics we’ve come to expect. The game characters move achingly slow even when using the bonus. I have deleted this game and will have to be content replaying the older versions. Qumaron, you can do better! ### 2/5 — Bad change in direction *2023-06-24, version 1.0.41* The previous titles had cool whimsical designs with good graphics, caves, tunnels, waterfalls, etc. This new direction is boring. The people a look like a slim Santa Clauses and walk slowly. It’s almost isn’t better than nothing. ### 1/5 — Not as good as previous NTs. *2023-06-01, version 1.0.41* I have loved and played many times the previous versions of Northern Tale. On this version, they spelled the name wrong and added an “s” after Tale. LOL. This version is very slow and needlessly spread out across multiple screens. I got motion sick scrolling back-and-forth. seems like a game for children. The Vikings move so slowly, it was so boring. Not challenging. I did like having to find the three secret hidden items on each level though. That was a nice added touch. Britons 1 #20 is the same. I happily spend money for games I like and can play off line but I might as well have flushed what I paid for these! Can no longer find user Id on either game. Hoops to connect this company are insane and designed to be very time consuming and frustrating. Maybe level 27? Took game off, don’t remember… Update….trying game again. Level 24…puzzle will still not allow me to advance. Deleting again. Nstop taking people’s money if you won’t fix game. However, the more I played the game, and the more complex the levels became, I suddenly began to appreciate the new graphics and the new obstacles and elements introduced overall. I was shocked at all the lousy reviews, because there is really nothing bad about this game! I agree that this would be too hard on a phone, but it’s great on an Ipad. Gameplay is smooth, graphics are cute, and storyline is exactly like the previous games we loved. No bugs, glitches, freezing, or crashing! The only thing that is a little bit of a nuisance is that the gameplay doesn’t fit all on one screen on your Ipad, so you have to move it back and forth a little bit. But that’s really kind of part of the fun of the game (and I’m pretty sure the old ones did that too). I just love watching ole Ragnar and company run around and chop stuff lol! Only issue I would like is to have Northern Tales 2 and 5 on Ios!
