## What is NorthLight?

NorthLight tells you, right now, whether the northern lights are likely where you are tonight.

  A live aurora gauge on the Home tab pulls the latest NOAA OVATION model and samples it at your exact coordinates — so you don't have to guess from a global map. Save your favourite
  viewing spots and switch between them with a tap.

  A real-time map shows the auroral oval over the globe with a continuous heat-map overlay: green where the chance is faint, red where activity is intense. A 3-day time scrubber along the
  bottom lets you fast-forward through the next 72 hours and watch the oval expand and contract as forecasted Kp values shift.

  Open the Forecast tab for the numbers behind the picture — a 24-hour Kp bar chart for each of the next three days, daily storm classification (G1 to G5), the latitude band where aurora
  becomes visible from, and live solar-wind charts for Bz and wind speed (the two values that actually drive the aurora).

  Add the widget to your Home Screen or lock screen and tonight's chance is one glance away.
