NorthStep is the private notebook for line managers — the people in the middle, running 1:1s, chasing follow-ups and holding a dozen goals in their head. It isn't HR software. Nobody above you or below you sees it. It's yours. RECORD 1:1s FROM MESSY NOTES Type stream-of-consciousness notes during the conversation — or paste them in afterwards. No template, no structure required. NorthStep turns the dump into action items, discussion points and follow-ups. You review, tweak, save. Set a real cadence per person ("1st Monday of every month at 9:30") and NorthStep tracks when the next one is due. RESUMES AND DOCUMENTS IN ONE PLACE Upload a resume or any document against a person and it stays on their record. Import a resume and NorthStep fills in their career history — roles, dates and education — so you're not retyping it. WALK IN KNOWING EVERYTHING Pulse opens your day with upcoming 1:1s and every open follow-up across the team. The Team grid shows each person's goal health and open item count at a glance.
