From the producers of GB Maps (featured in Ordnance Survey's OS OpenData innovative application showcase) Beautifully detailed maps supplied by Ordnance Survey Northumberland (National Park) Maps provides an offline (no mobile signal required) mapping reference and navigation aid whilst travelling throughout the Northumberland (National Park) region by footpath, road, rail, canal, lake and river.  Intuitive route and waypoint management features are implemented enabling creation, modification, deletion, import and export of routes. An offline search facility can locate places, roads, post codes and hills within the region.  Worldwide online Apple Maps (Standard, Satellite and Hybrid) with map features that users are used to are available on both offline and online maps as well as providing 3D buildings on Apple maps (where available) Maps 7 levels of offline 2014/2015 Ordnance Survey map detail from national overview to street view within the region. (No data connection required) More detailed maps load as the view is zoomed. The OS recommended viewing scales for the detailed maps are approximately: 1:1000,000 (The whole of GB is covered at this map scale) 1:250,000 1:50,000 1:25,000 1:10,000 ( (Roads/streets are labelled by name)) The map region of the detailed maps covers a rectangular region around the national park boundary, The following towns, which are outside of the national park boundary are included : Jedburgh, Coldstream and Kelso - Contours with height information and annotated height points - Extensive footpaths from ©OpenStreetMap contributors - National Park boundary demarkation App - Route/Waypoint management - Offline search functionality with searchable locations (places, roads, post codes and hills). Quick and reliable to use. One snag is that part of the coastal map detail along with the coastal path route east of Alnwick is missing. ### 1/5 — Oh Dear! Much of Northumberland missing! *2020-08-12, version 2.1.1* Just bought this to plan some walks around our local area, and we’re not even included! The area South and West of Hexham is prime walking country (known as Hexhamshire), and yet it’s missing - as, of course is our own house and area around that - we do live in Northumberland! Honestly, if you advertise your app as being a map of Northumberland - which you do - then you should really include Northumberland - all of it. Otherwise, advertise it as a map of ‘some’ of Northumberland - which would be more accurate. Oh, and to include parts of Scotland, and not Northumberland, feels like a right kick in the ****s! I’m feeling short-changed here! edit: so the developer has responded, saying that the map is of the National Park + a little of the coast, as per the description in the App Store. Well it says that now - but it didn’t when I bought it, so my comments above stand! ### 1/5 — Conned *2019-02-04, version 2.1.1* Paid £1.99 for maps of Northumberland and it’s not even a full map, not showing anything south of the A69 isn’t right. I previously purchased the Lakes map which has been excellent for me and as we’re going for a weekend away in Northumberland I thought I’d buy this version too. Really disappointed that the whole map isn’t included. I recommend. ### 5/5 — Great App from great collection *2017-03-18, version 2.0.2* Good to see the map area has been extended from around the national park boundary to include most of the coastal areas. ### 5/5 — Great quality Ordnance Survey maps *2016-10-29, version 2.0.2* These are the best detailed maps out there and the route planning is the easiest to use from all the apps like this I've looked at. As you zoom in the detail increases right the way down to 1:10k.
