### 4/5 — It’s great

*2026-03-29, version 1.0.14*

I really like this ai app and it’s good for not buying anything from a scam website because it detects scams all u gotta do is send it an image but only one thing u gotta check out is for example a site like eBay is mostly legitimate but could be a scam from third sellers or what not when it sees the logo it says it’s not a scam but it’s good other than that

### 2/5 — Easy to use, but subpar in most other areas

*2026-03-20, version 1.0.14*

It's easy to use, and bonus points for not requiring account registration, but frankly the results are not as accurate, and not as descriptive as what I get from uploading the same screenshot to any LLM chat app.

The information in the responses is vague and high-level. For example, when I uploaded a screenshot of a phishing email claiming I had initiated a crypto transfer to a listed wallet address, the app just said "Potential Scam" and "Claims there is a problem with your account to trick you into xyz..."

The response from Claude for the same screenshot was more thorough and higher confidence. It even pointed out that the wallet address in the email was a dead giveaway because it wasn't a possible address given the characters and combination.

Not a bad tool but its so easy to get a better assessment nowadays.

### 3/5 — iPad Landscape Mode

*2026-01-01, version 1.0.14*

I downloaded this App on iPad and the pages are not in Landscape mode. Very disappointing as this makes it very difficult iPad with Magic Keyboard.

### 2/5 — Norton Genie

*2025-10-14, version 1.0.14*

It appears to me that this app is always undecided as to its answer. It’s always could be a possible potential scam might be a scam two different times you can tell me the first time it was a scam and the second time it wasn’t so I don’t trust it one bit.

### 3/5 — Good generally

*2025-04-03, version 1.0.14*

I agree with a previous review in that this app will generally give you a good indication whether what you’re investigating is a scam or not. However I still do additional checks on the website/phone number and trust pilot then compare results before making a final decision.

### 3/5 — Scam (Not found to be a Scammer)

*2025-02-19, version 1.0.14*

Excellency

### 4/5 — StateFarm

*2025-02-16, version 1.0.14*

### 5/5 — Scam detector

*2024-12-12, version 1.0.14*

### 5/5 — Norton Genie

*2024-12-07, version 1.0.14*

Just started using and so far it has confirmed my thoughts about these messages.

### 2/5 — You missed one

*2024-11-19, version 1.0.14*

I submitted an email I received (supposedly) from my credit card company as a fraud alert. Your ur app said it was legit and ok to click on link. I did and it was a scam. I called credit card company directly and they verified that they hadn’t sent it and that someone from another state had just tried to access my account. I looked on the app to report the error, but none exists.

### 5/5 — Scams

*2024-11-15, version 1.0.14*

So far so good. There are so many scammers now due to technology and over usage of the internet.I remember when we wrote all of our passwords on a piece of paper and hid it in our bibles. The only scam you had to worry about was the guy trying to sell you the” Kirby “10,000”vacuum cleaner or the guy sent out with a spray bottle of some magic potion claiming it could take out any stain I. The world! I really miss those days…

### 5/5 — Best thing ever!!!

*2024-11-03, version 1.0.14*

This thing is so cool!!! I would definitely recommend!!!

### 5/5 — Very handy app/tool *****

Excellent !!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — The only reason

*2025-11-02, version 1.0.14*

I’m just saying

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2025-10-20, version 1.0.14*

Upload various texts and emails, some legit some suspicious. The app could not read any of them at all.

### 1/5 — It relies on your input. It’s not a security guard.

*2025-08-15, version 1.0.14*

It’s a tool for on demand analysis, not a passive, real-time spam filter. It does not have the ability to automatically read your incoming text messages the moment they arrive.

### 1/5 — Waist of time

*2025-07-26, version 1.0.14*

I had faith at first.. but then I thought i would test it.. input known scammers pictures.. no flags raised, input ai generated pics no flags, input text from ai bot known to be involved in romance scams, several times and not once was any flag raised.. input basic, well known scam text messages found using google.. not one flag raised… what this app is actually doing is unknown. But it is not protecting anyone from anything.

### 1/5 — No updates 10 months

*2025-05-06, version 1.0.14*

The Genie never finds anything wrong with anything. I have it search. It always says inconclusive. What good is everything if it’s inconclusive. Sorry the app is just almost not worth my time.

### 1/5 — Van Den Handel

*2024-12-30, version 1.0.14*

Where is my service?

### 1/5 — Totally incorrect

*2024-11-24, version 1.0.14*

I will admit I only tried this once. However, I have received the same email from Norton once a week for several weeks now and have not been able to find an actual phone number to call and reach a human being after wasting an hour of my time. Thought I would try this app. I uploaded my email and the Genie scanned it and found no problems indicating the email from Norton was indeed legitimate. To me it clearly was not since the expiration date was way off for my subscription. I was very disappointed. I have yet been unable to alert Norton even through their chat line. Very disappointing!!

### 1/5 — Poor

*2024-07-20, version 1.0.14*

Continually says one unread message via badge icon. All read. Annoying. Deleted app. Reinstalled. Same issue
Getting rid

### 1/5 — It’s wrong

*2024-05-08, version 1.0.13*

It said something wasn’t a scam, but it was… I wouldn’t trust this service

### 1/5 — Great idea. Not ready for release.

*2024-03-24, version 1.0.13*

Posted in a crypto scam. I was invited to a chat group to learn about BTC trading on whatapp. They sent me a link to a fake trading platform start small they said. Everybody in the group was making “tons of money” and I could to. Classic scam. This app said if “could be a scam”. Need some improvement. Set up a profile on Facebook dating site and you will get many beautiful woman inviting you to whatapp and trying to scam you. App needs more experience before being ready for prime time.
