Sonst guter Browser! ### 2/5 — Barely Any Customization for a “Private” Browser *2026-01-25* Norton Private Browser doesn’t really live up to the “private” part for me. There’s barely any customization, especially on mobile. You’re essentially locked into using Microsoft Bing, and there’s no real way to change the search provider or avoid Microsoft/Copilot integrations. If I wanted something that feels this close to Edge, I would’ve just used Edge. Aside from the added security features, it behaves like a normal browser with very limited control over how it works. A private browser should let users choose their own search engine and browsing experience, and this one doesn’t. Overall, it feels restrictive and disappointing for anyone who values customization and actual privacy. ### 3/5 — Does this app update? *2026-01-23* The reason why I’m asking when I use it again and delete it and put it back on my phone. It makes my phone go hot. I mean smoking hot. Makes me wonder if it’s on your old version. That’s why I gave out a three star I had no problem before my installed it. It opens a page that says reload and when I tap reload, it takes me straight to Amazon. It’s like bait and switch. It’s like the app doesn’t actually exist. ### 1/5 — Difficult to avians I don’t like it *2025-12-03* APP does not permit download of documents from trusted banking site even those site is allowed, and all the block tabs have been disabled. AND unlike other seemingly intrusive notifications from Norton, I find out through this recently failed effort the app did not notify me the browser was outdated. Documents STILL did not download even after the update and the time consuming clearing and block releasing.
