### 4/5 — New app better, selection worse

*2025-11-06, version 33.0.0*

The new app makes a lot of improvements over the old one. Unfortunately the selection of restaurants is significantly reduced! Not sure what happened there but several of my favorites are gone from the app.

### 4/5 — Recent app improvements

*2022-11-25, version 5.0.1*

Updating my review from a few months ago to say that the latest updates are a big improvement. Occasionally the app is kinda buggy, but I’ll take that to support local businesses over using DoorDash. Nosh’s customer support is excellent, too — the two times I’ve had issues with my order and had to call, they were extremely helpful and responsive (and the person answering the phone was located right here in town).

Previous review:
This latest update has rendered the app unusable. I would’ve given the previous version of the app a solid 4 stars — not flawless, but clean and easy to use. Not the case anymore.

### 4/5 — Great service; app needs a tweak

*2022-08-29, version 5.0.1*

Over the last few years, since I’ve been using NOSH, never had an incorrect delivery or an issue with delivery. Have abandoned all other services.

Two problems with the app. Can’t seem to reorder from a previous delivery. Also, after an order I have been consistently getting a handful (5) of the same message “You order’s status has been updated.” All the same contents, one right after the other.

### 4/5 — Better than it was

*2022-08-29, version 5.0.1*

Now you can accrue points which is nice.

### 4/5 — It has a few bugs but works for me

*2022-08-12, version 5.0.1*

Overall the app has worked great for me. Recently, when trying to place an order, it kept resetting everything (such as tip and delivery instructions) to default settings, but on the third try it worked. The problem could have been that I had internet connection issues at that time. Other than that one issue, the app has worked great and is a huge improvement over what it used to be.

### 1/5 — Inoperable

*2022-06-09, version 5.0.1*

This update has made the App unusable. $10 off coupon won’t save your pathetic user interface. Long time user, but I’m never coming back.

### 2/5 — Never got my food

*2021-12-01, version 4.1.9*

The app is fine design-wise as others are saying. I just never got my food. There weren’t any notifications, calls, texts, nothing. I wanted to support this local app, but I don’t think I’ll take the risk again because to spend all that money on delivery, I only want to feel regret after I’ve eaten all my food, not hours later when I realize it’s never coming. Ya know?

### 1/5 — Bad

*2021-07-28, version 4.1.5*

I really want to support my local restaurants, but this app is just awful. On top of that, the fees are higher on nosh than anywhere else. I assume all the local restaurants push this app to avoid the marketing fees on grubhub et al, so the least they could do is make this terrible app cheaper than the alternatives.

### 1/5 — Initializing

*2021-07-20, version 4.1.5*

The app is horrible will not load

### 2/5 — Eh...

*2021-05-31, version 4.1.5*

The app is set up well in terms of user friendliness however there is no tracking. It shows you when the driver arrives at the store, picks up, leaves but doesn't show where the driver is. Not even sure how accurate those times are. There is no way to contact your driver. Got a notification that our food left the store and 20+ mins later it still wasnt to us. My house is 6 minuets from the store! would be better if you could see where the driver is and could contact them.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Insane upcharge

*2026-01-02, version 40.0.1*

Meal was $6 more than in store, then $10 in fees on top of that. Insane to be more expensive than doordash.

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2025-09-17, version 31.0.0*

This is a garbage delivery service that subcontracts out drivers even though they preport to be "local." Absolute trash.

### 1/5 — Horrible App

*2025-09-15, version 31.0.0*

It’s an absolute mess to use. Great concept, horrible execution.

### 1/5 — New update is non-functional

*2025-08-12, version 29.0.0*

I’ve used this app since 2020, and it’s always been great. The new rollout doesn’t work at all. After half a dozen error messages, it was faster to go to the actual restaurant and order takeout.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2024-04-03, version 6.3.1*

Terrible app, kept crashing and not saving my changes. Also didnt save my card after i signed in. Waste of 15 minutes and hangry now

### 1/5 — Ugh

*2024-03-21, version 6.3.1*

Freezes routinely, both app and website attempt to trick you into overpaying by repeatedly imposing an 18% tip (on delivery!) and there’s no map. Just a lazy outfit.

### 1/5 — New order

*2022-09-24, version 5.0.1*

New order. New order. New order. New order. New order. New order. New order. New order. New order. New order. New order. New order. New order. New order. New order. New order. New order. New order. New order. New order. New order. New order. New order. New order. New order. New order. New order. New order. New order. New order. New order. New order.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2022-06-28, version 5.0.1*

Somehow they made an ancient app even worse by updating it! Prices are out of control and they strong arm local businesses into using them and then limit the delivery radius! I can no longer get delivery from my favorite local restaurant because I’m out of the delivery radius yet somehow doordash, postmates and Uber delivery from much further away. I’m all about supporting local businesses but there has to be a better way than this!

### 1/5 — Updated the app but prices are out of control

*2022-06-26, version 5.0.1*

So they finally update the app so it doesn’t look like it was written by a 12year old. Prices and fees will MORE than double your price for food in many instances. 11$ sandwich? It’ll be 24$

### 1/5 — App does not do what it states

*2022-06-15, version 5.0.1*

Currently I cannot order food because every restaurant shows closed. I went through the process of making my order and puting in my entire credit card before I found that out. Obviously no one is going to take the time to figure out why it doesn’t work or submit a support ticket especially when there isn’t even a practical way to get support at all. It’s really just too bad for the businesses and for Nosh themselves. I’m sitting here, trying to give you my money, and you apparently don’t want it.

### 5/5 — Fair Prices and Solid Service

*2025-12-05, version 38.0.0*

I've been using this app for a while now, and it's become one of the easiest ways for me to order from my favorite local spots. What I like most is that the prices match what the restaurants actually charge. On other apps, the menu prices are noticeably higher, which always feels like I'm paying extra for no real reason. Here, everything feels straightforward and honest.
The drivers have consistently been kind and professional, and the deliveries show up when they're supposed to. Anytime I've needed help, customer support has been quick to sort things out.
It's refreshing to use an app that puts local restaurants first and keeps the whole experience simple for customers. Highly recommend giving it a try if you want good service without the inflated prices.

### 5/5 — My go-to app for local food

*2025-12-05, version 38.0.0*

I use this app at least once a week, and one thing I always notice is how fair the prices are. I usually compare them with the other platforms like DoorDash and Grubhub, and the difference is clear. On those apps the menu prices are often marked up a lot, sometimes close to thirty percent, which gets frustrating pretty fast.
With Nosh, the prices match what the restaurant actually charges, so I feel like I'm supporting the place directly instead of paying bunch of extra fees. The drivers have been dependable, and the customer support has been quick whenever I've needed anything.
It's been a solid experience overall, and it's nice using a service that feels more respectful to local restaurants and the people who work with them.

### 5/5 — Support Local with Nosh

*2025-09-25, version 31.0.0*

Nosh app is so much better now. Over the years it has been clunky and hard to use. This new version is fresh and easy to use. Makes supporting local restaurants easy.

### 5/5 — Love Nosh!

*2025-08-16, version 30.0.0*

Love the local service and most of the best places in town are only available on Nosh.

### 5/5 — Local restaurants are the best!

*2023-10-16*

This app is easy to use and the company is fantastic. The drivers are friendly and I like being able to support local businesses. (Since they redid the app, I’ve only had one glitch with it and they sorted it out quickly.) Customer Service is awesome! I’ll take that over my experiences with the “big” companies any day. Keep it up Nosh!

### 5/5 — Local

*2022-09-28, version 5.0.1*

I prefer to use a local company to order from local restaurants instead of big chains. The app works fine.

### 5/5 — Moving up!

*2022-09-11, version 5.0.1*

Constantly improving with a great new rewards program. They also have exclusive restaurants which you won’t find on other delivery services.

### 5/5 — Great!

*2022-09-06, version 5.0.1*

Such an improvement!

### 5/5 — Works great!

*2022-07-01, version 5.0.1*

The app works just fine and is put together really well. Easy to navigate and order, food got here fast n hot!

### 5/5 — Great for Supporting Small Businesses

*2021-11-23, version 4.1.9*

I understand all the negative reviews on here, but I can’t help but feel some of the users are expecting too much from a community centered service doing its best. Yes, the prices and wait times can be a little high; yes, sometimes the app is a little glitchy. But I feel the drivers working for Nosh are some of the kindest in the biz, and the commissions given to the restaurants actually reflect the work being put in on their end. If you want to support your community and the people living in it, this app is the way to go!
