## What is NoStranger?

NoStranger is not a game, it's a conversation.
As the app opens, you receive a message from a stranger.
But by the end of your experience, you will know his name, his motivation, and his dark secret.

You will be led on a user-choice-driven narrative; searching through blogs, contacting the story’s characters, and scouring social media websites to find out more. Through real-time conversation, you will delve deep, and sometimes not so deep ;), exploring the interconnectedness of our virtual world.

With inspiration from titles such as LifeLine and Her Story,
NoStranger uses real websites, phone numbers, and videos to create a believable, immersive experience.

Trigger Warnings: This narrative includes topics of suicide and violence.

### 1/5 — Has someone properly screened it?

*2026-05-13, version 306*

I’ve found this app on my son‘s iPhone. He took his life two years ago.

I still can’t pass the part about a man jumping off the buildings roof. It’s too disturbing.

I find it somewhat surprising this kind of app landed in 13+ category.

### 5/5 — i always think about this game

*2026-02-21, version 305*

02/20/26: i remember when i was younger (maybe like 13 or 14?), there was a BTS wattpad fanfiction i read that was inspired by this game. i don’t remember the story now, but i will always remember this game. !! forever 5 ★s for me.

☆ original review: i played it once over two or three years ago, and i always think about it from time to time. the arg aspect makes it so much memorable and unique. ☆

### 3/5 — broken

*2025-10-21, version 300*

cool concept but I've reached the first off-site interaction point and already the link is broken and the location they're talking about appears to be either off the map or shut down 😅 no feedback button so I'm dropping this here

### 5/5 — Touching, and Nostalgic

*2025-02-14, version 98*

I played this like 7 years ago and forgot to send a review but if I remember correctly this was very moving and enjoyable! 👍

### 5/5 — One of my favorite things

*2025-01-21, version 98*

I have this conversation every once in a while. I always changes me after and I love it so much for that. What I wouldn’t give for more of this and more of Adam.

### 5/5 — i always think about this game

### 5/5 — Loved it. Also triggering. But loved it.

*2023-09-11, version 98*

TLDR: play it when you’re in a good headspace and you’re good to go lol.

This game is intriguing. You have to use resources outside of the game, real world maps and emails to get answers. The character is great, and the way you can play the more open parts of the game can lead to interesting conversation. Genuinely enjoyable. But not in a “yay fun” way. More in a- I keep checking my phone to see if he’s answered type of way. It’s very engaging. But dark.

I hate to be this guy, but I have to. Nothing negative against the game, it’s seriously great. That being said ——- suicide trigger warning. Which I feel like is obvious and not really a spoiler because the screenshots in the App Store mention someone jumping off a building right away. I want to word this in a way where I avoid spoilers, and I don’t know if maybe if I had played it differently how it would have gone — but **possible spoiler**

if you’ve ever had someone in your life who suffers from severe depression/suicide attempts.. you know that feeling when you’re worried about them and you call and text and they just randomly stop answer l and you feel helpless ? Just prepare yourself for that helpless feeling. It’s overall worth it cause it’s just a game. But I do know when my friends suicide was recent, that feeling would throw me off for like a week.

If anything kudos to the creators. You guys made a real piece of art here. Truly!

### 5/5 — No words, go in blind & be patient

*2023-08-31, version 98*

There’s not much I can write in a review about this game. It’s incredible; naturally written and interestingly paced. I first played it around 4/5years ago and I still think of this game from time to time. Beware of triggering topics as mentioned in other reviews, but try not to research the game prior to opening.

### 1/5 — Deleted after the first annoying “puzzle”

*2023-02-17, version 98*

The very first challenge I was presented with was annoying. It relies on the name of a real location that isn’t quite correct and is just boring as a puzzle anyway.
