Period…. ### 1/5 — Vindictive developers... *2024-08-21* These guys design a calculator that offers a subset of functionality, force you into a deceptive paywall to use the app, then complain when the experience they designed has given you the exact impression they created... there's nothing more modern than a company that uses predatory UX dark patterns to manipulate people into giving them monay and then blaming the users that are disgusted by it... Basically their take is "we convinced you there was no other way to use our apps than pay us a subscriptions fee - well, that's called user error - you're a liar." Apparently the "not boring" company is "not" boring because of they like drama... Beautiful apps - terrible people. ### 1/5 — Rent an incomplete calculator? *2024-08-18, version 3.11* Pretty numbers, check. Cool animations, check. Predatory pricing model that requires you to rent a calculator that only does some of what any other calculator does for basically free, check.
