Often sarcastic, always smart and insightful. Every time I am on it, it completely shuts off my phone’s functionality for several minutes. Everything gets really slow and laggy when I try to read multiple articles, and when the entire app isn’t glitching, the articles never fully load. I wish I could just recommend going to the website, but the same problems exist there as well. In addition, the quality of the ads is horrendous, and judging by some of the other reviews, I’m not the only one getting scam-likely and sexualized images as I try to read about some crazy leftist. And, to add insult to injury, while the whole page is taking years to load, guess what does? You got it, the ads. Improve the app. Make it as good as the Bee app. Don’t change the news, though. ### 1/5 — Advertising *2026-03-20, version 2.18* I can’t open a first story on your website and not get a notification from my vpn that it was blocked. I am a believer in Jesus Christ our Lord and feel something is amiss. Filter the wolves and protect the flock! This app use to run smoothly. I’ve noticed an uptick in ads, and ad format that have destroyed that experience. They crowd the stories and overload sometimes glitching the app to close. Please get rid of the sticky video that takes up 1/3 of my screen. The inappropriate click bait ads with sexualized photos. I understand having to make money, I don’t mind having to scroll past them, but when they cut out parts of the stories or hinder me from getting the whole story, you’re getting too greedy and your users are suffering. They are 2 of my favorite publications, and I would give this app five stars if it were based merely off of the merit of what they post. But this app is full of spam adds, it forces a video to run on every article until you pause it and close it, and it is just all of the quality of a sketchy movie piracy website. I had this same app on Android and it was perfect, but this one here is the opposite and it doesn’t make sense. What should be a low data usage app (simple news articles), ends up using a lot more data because of the spam adds and the forced video.
