Please update! ### 3/5 — Reduced my rating *2020-04-26* 2 yrs ago I wrote “I love the ability to add custom quotes and having the ability to remove quotes included with the app would be ideal.” (The rest of of prior review is below.) This has not been changed or addressed by the devs so I need to find an app with more functionality. “I use this app for writing speeches and creating training but I must be able to quote from sources that I trust. Some quotes sound good out of context but are unusable when placed in context or when the background of the source is known. Need iPhone 5 update ### 3/5 — Not as good as I had hoped *2012-11-11* Not worth the money, as little as it is. Lots of quotes, but few are profound. The settings are rigid. The app doesn't allow personal categories or tags to be added. That is huge to me. Their categories are random and badly decided. And each quote added can only be put in one category. That is too arbitrary to be a good app to me. You can't tag a favorite quote writer, just their quotes. The background pictures get overused so it is sometimes better to turn them off. The search function is way too broad. There is no way to narrow the search. Upgrades: 1) I do think you need to have the integration of iOS 5. 2) I think it would be great for quotes longer than 140 characters, you had a link shortener that you still can post. A workaround is me taking a screenshot and then uploading the quote that way, but it would be nice if you add in the app. ### 5/5 — A Great App for Students *2011-12-08, version 1.8* This app is one is quite useful, especially for a dollar. The interface is easy and quick to use, and with the Wikipedia connection it is quite easy to do research into certain authors. Anytime I have to write an essay,(being in high school)I use one of the many quotes found throughout the app,which are a quite way to grab any reader's attention. The fact that you can make a favorite list is excellent, making your own list of well-liked quotes. I have had this for while and have yet to find any bugs or cliches. Overall, you great way more than what you pay for. ### 4/5 — Good app, need more databases. *2011-12-02, version 1.8* Like the app, started using on iPhone and now use on iPad also. Should have databases of quotes that can be added. Would love to see databases for athletes quotes, comedians, and rock stars. Hardly any by some of the more darker characters in history (which would make it more interesting) and none which might be considered humorous but "risqué". Looking forward to an update though, great potential. ---- This is the 2nd HCC app I've bought, nice visual quality, decent quotes but more would be better, obviously  - so far so good. An idea for the devs: what about a "quote for the day" option? A random or user-defined quote which appears at a set time, perhaps it could tie-In with the "Priorities" app? ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Great App Gone Sour *2017-04-02, version 3.0* This latest update is a cruel April Fool's joke. The app crashes every time I try to open it, and I fear I have lost the hundreds of personal quotes I stored in it. I do not understand the need for images, either. No longer do I have an endless stream of them on my notepad. With this tool I can add & organize quotes by author & subject. Not to mention the wealth of new ones already within the app. Being able to backup to email is a added bonus.
