We've been using it for 1 year now. Post for multiple children, anyone with access can comment or "heart" photos. Refine views to just your child or all the little ones you follow. Can access via website, and have weekly or monthly emails with new photos for those who do not use apps. We want to be in control of what we save, who gets to see it (no one but us in some cases), and where we saved it. This is the best of Facebook and Instagram and Path all in one without all the social network high and mighty. The design and UI execution is outstanding as well. Just for kicks I tried the data export feature and it worked better than I imagined, so we are comfortable saving our kids' memories in notabli. No privacy concerns because no one can see this stuff but us and those we allow/invite. Best part is going back in time to look at videos and pics and quotes with the kids!! 5 star app, looking forward to future updates! ### 5/5 — The best app ever! *2016-08-16, version 2.4.1* I love this app! It's a family social media for my children. I am able to post everything from soccer schedules, pictures, quotes and more! It uploads to the app and only the people that I have invited have access. My family has also downloaded the app (not required to access) and every time I post something new they get a notification! It's also great because my husband can also post stuff from his phone. (- 1 star only because it crashes occasionally, and waiting on the new version for a while). ### 5/5 — GREAT APP FOR PARENTS *2016-05-25, version 2.4.1* I love the collaborative archiving this app enables. Sort of a virtual scrapbook you can create and share with your spouse and other family members. The result will become a story archive of your child's life that probably would not have been recorded without this technology. I don't usually review apps but wanted to encourage this developer to keep going with the app. A full screen slide show function and iPad version would be wonderful. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — No way to contact support *2024-01-30, version 4.3.2* I've been using this app for such a long time now and am a paid up subscriber but they must have closed down without notifying anyone. There's no way to contact supposrt and there's been no response to my request t downlaod my moments archive for over a week. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP. Certainly don't be a fool and pay for it like I did. ### 1/5 — Why do I need to pay all of a sudden? *2021-01-30, version 4.1.3* Been using this for 4 years now all of a sudden I have to pay to upload videos. Not cool. The webpage interface doesn’t let you upload multiple files. But when it works it's great. Pretty annoyed I can’t just continue using this app. Will have to switch to another one. **Developer response:** Totally understand why this was surprising after using the app for a while. The core experience — keeping up with family and posting photos — remains free. Paid plans were added later for additional features outside of that in order to support the costs to run Notabli. ### 2/5 — Have to pay now *2020-11-19, version 4.1.1* We’ve used this app for 3+ years. My sister has used it for longer. We both love it because we don’t wanna throw all these pics and videos on Facebook and we want grandparents to be able to see the kids grow. Recently an update changed it so that all we can do is photos and not videos. I’m pretty upset about that because there’s no other way to send my grandmother videos. I’ll still recommend it but I’m only giving two stars due to the need to pay now. ### 2/5 — Can't access my photos! *2015-05-16, version 2.1.2* I can only access the most recent 20 or so photos on my camera roll. If I forget to post to Notabli even one day, there are photos I can now longer upload to the app. So frustrating! This didn't used to be a problem...now the app is basically useless for my family. Love the concept, though. Fix this bug & I'll gladly give it five stars! ### 3/5 — Great service, buggy app *2015-09-07, version 2.1.6* While I love Notabli, this app is constantly freezing, crashing and most annoyingly: NOT uploading my content. Sometimes videos upload in 30 seconds, other times it takes days - and only if I notice that something hasn't uploaded. Seems to get "stuck" and unless you cancel the upload and try to add it again it will just stay in limbo. I have to sit and watch to make sure content is actually being added...it's very frustrating! ### 4/5 — Nice format like the album makeup *2019-01-09, version 3.2.2* So far I Like the format and uploading is easy! I like being able to assign both kids or individually. I’m interested to see what possible sorts are going to be a available like by year month etc. making books could be chronologically fun. This app will be really nice for my ex-wife and I to share old memories and new one with our kids. That’s what my hope is for the app. My one suggestion and reason for 4 star rather than 5 is the bulk loading option isn’t there. If I could select a number of images and upload it would be less time intensive. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Love this app, but lack of updates is starting to worry *2026-06-11, version 4.3.4* We’ve been using Notabli for nearly 10(!?) years at this point and it has served us well. Private, we own the content, and not an ad to be seen anywhere. Pretty easy to get the family setup and convince them to stay away from Instagram when the platform works so similarly. So I have been more than happy to pay the annual subscription fee. We would love it if Notabli could continue to grow with our kids. But the updates have slowed to a crawl over the past couple years and while we don’t typically encounter bugs, it would be nice to see some UX polishes to keep up with iOS at the least and feature parity with the popular ad-supported options at best. There really aren’t a lot of options out there if you want to stay away from shady Terms of Service or ad tracking, so we will continue to support Notabli for as long as it exists, but we hope the app we love can get some attention every once in awhile! ### 5/5 — Wonderful and easy *2024-11-11, version 4.3.4* This makes creating photo albums so easy! It’s all automatic. Plus I can share photos without worrying about facial recognition, likes from 1000 Facebook friends, etc. Just clear, concise, curated photos, videos, and clips! ### 5/5 — Can’t say how much with love this app! *2024-04-15, version 4.3.2* If you have a young child in your life, this app is a wonderful piece of the puzzle. How do you record those spontaneous moments and utterances so you’ll remember them in 5 years much less 5 minutes? How do you share them with your loved ones and nobody else? I am so glad we stumbled upon this app in its early days and used it diligently when our son was younger. My only request would be that the app developer partner with someone to make books out of the material we’ve uploaded so that we can store the material offline forever. ### 5/5 — Amazing *2020-11-01, version 4.1.0* So happy with Notibli. It’s become a really nice library of images (and printed books!) to look back on as my kids grow. We captured the weather the day she was born “feels like -40” (screenshot of weather app) and haven't looked back. It’s the only way I share photos with family. Private, ad-free and easy to use. My whole family uses this app and loves it. We also get the photo books sent automatically.. baby book, done! Family albums, done. It’s simply perfect for keeping a small group of friends and family in on your kiddos life. Sometimes uploads on videos can be buggy and you might have to try it again... but it’s free and private, so it’s well worth that small inconvenience. Love that it has apps for iOS and android and a website as well. Just really well thought through and simple. Family loves being able to download the media for offline use too. ### 5/5 — Two years in and still loving it *2019-07-29, version 3.2.2* Downloaded Notabli two years ago to use to share photos of our baby with friends and family because we aren’t big fans of giving our kid an online presence before they can give permission. Now with even more privacy red flags with Facebook Im really glad we did. Two years in and we love it. Looking back I’m so glad we’re using it, as it basically has become a digital baby book. Because I didn’t want to overload people I curated the couple of things I posted every week or two, and it’s created a really special collection. Friends and family get email updates with no ads and they aren’t added to a spam list (a friend of mine uses tinybeans and the ads and spam they send me drives me crazy). The platform is intuitive and easy, both in an app and in a traditional browser. My only complaint is that I wish you could reply to people’s comments. And I wish that more of my friends had kids on the platform.
