You can get abbreviations from the faa’s website. Does not decipher or decode anything associated with the notam. ### 1/5 — NOTAMs *2012-07-19* Nothing in this app indicated that it was "contractions only." Now instead of having to carry around a paper copy of all of the NOTAMs contractions I can quickly look them up on my iPhone. As an airline pilot I go through a lot of weather packages in a relatively short amount of time so having the NOTAM app is a huge help! I'm not sure why the last reviewer gave a bad review, I wonder if they didn't understand what the app does? It doesn't decode airport identifiers or pull up live weather or live NOTAMs but rather is a convenient tool for decoding the various weather and NOTAM contractions that you will find in a standard weather briefing. Simply type in the contraction and NOTAMs will give you the answer. Its very easy to use and works great!! ### 1/5 — Did not work *2009-06-02* Put in four letter identifier and it did not work.
