It makes the process of signing up for matches so much more difficult than it has to be. In my opinion on app shouldn’t be able to tax my earnings. To help clarify, you can always access your funds for free by turning on Monthly Auto Payout, which deposits all your earnings from the month to your bank account at the end of the month, at no cost. The $3.99 fee you’re referencing only applies to Instant Payouts, which deliver earnings to your bank account in minutes, even on weekends and holidays. You can access Auto Payout by clicking on 'Schedule' in the My Wallet section of the app. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to send our support team a message via the Support Button in the lower right corner. - Team Notch ### 1/5 — What’s the point of the app? *2025-04-08* The app is literally the web version. There’s no added user benefits from this app, it doesn’t keep you logged in, it doesn’t sync to your calendar. The only good thing about Notch relative to other platforms is how quickly you can get paid, otherwise Notch is inferior in every way and the app developers clearly don’t care about adding basic features like calendar sync because nothing has changed with the app since in over a year. **Developer response:** Hi Dan, thanks for downloading the mobile app and taking the time to share your feedback. Just to clarify a few things: Our mobile app officially launched in January this year, following a successful roll-out with the web application, and we’ve been steadily rolling out improvements since, and one of the most impactful being push notifications, which many officials have told us have been a huge help. Calendar sync is absolutely on our roadmap and is one of our top priorities this year! We understand how important this is for officials managing multiple assigning platforms and schedules. We’re committed to making sure the app is reliable throughout the season and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. ### 3/5 — Works well, just a couple of annoying bugs *2026-02-17* No complaints on the app besides the number of notifications on iOS showing up incorrectly (every time I get 1 new game or change, it shows over 200 notifications in the icon). Besides that, only other issue the frequent amount of times I need to re-log in, usually every other day which is rather annoying. Regarding the notification badge count, this can sometimes occur when iOS hasn’t cleared older notifications. Opening the app or clearing notifications from the device notification center should reset the badge count. If the issue persists, our support team would be happy to help troubleshoot. For security reasons, the app may occasionally require a login (for example after updates or longer periods of inactivity), but it shouldn’t be happening frequently. We appreciate the feedback and hope to earn that 5-star rating soon! 🌟 ### 3/5 — The 2 sides of the assigning business *2025-05-31* Notch is a great assigning tool. There are a few features it lacks in this regard, like being able to set different groups and their game/league eligibility or send emails to those groups is not currently supported. You can still send emails and text to the entire roster or manually select individuals to send emails to. I have faith this features will be coming soon as they are always working on improving the system. While the payment to officials can be very fast, it requires a large amount of pre funding the accounts that a small or medium association struggles with. The platform is affordable and easy to use. The silver bullet though, is the responsive and helpful support team. While this platform is pretty easy to use from a referee’s perspective, as an assigner there are more layers of complexity that are not altogether intuitive. The support team’s guidance- literally at the click of a button - made all the difference in this being a great platform for assigning. The official view makes it simple to assign games and manage payouts. As an assignor, I found the assignor view incredibly helpful, it’s easy to navigate, assign games quickly, and access all the necessary details. The reporting features provide clear summaries of games, and creating, posting, and approving games is seamless. Overall, I’ve had an excellent experience with this app ### 5/5 — Best App for Officials *2025-01-24* Notch is easy to use and I’m absolutely blown away about how quickly payments can be made for games. I find the UX design simple and easy to follow. Very happy that this is a native iOS app now and it’s been fun to see the enhancements and improvements roll out! As someone who works a lot of games on many platforms, this would help organize my schedule.
