### 2/5 — Not Quite There Yet

*2016-01-24, version 2.3.1*

Just did not consistently identify notes I played on the piano. Great concept but needs work.

### 2/5 — Works well until you try to play with bass clef

*2013-07-29, version 2.2*

I can smack the crap out of the low C when practicing this with the piano and the game doesn't register it, which means it's counted wrong and I can't play. And yes, my piano is well tuned.l

### 3/5 — Hmm

*2024-04-29, version 2.4.0*

This app kind of makes me mad. I play the flute and was attempting to match my voice with my instrument to play a song, and every time I do it gives me notes I don’t even know, also when I play them on the flute it is not even the right octave! Whenever I wait for the note to come it tells me that I’m playing it too late and it hardly give me anytime to play it like be so fr. It’s a good concept but please make it better.

### 4/5 — Great but

*2013-02-20, version 1.0*

I purchased the full version and love it. It truly helps students with note reading and scales. The only problem is that in the bass clef for piano the low C does not get acknowledged or heard?
Also it would be nice that before the next level gets opened up it didn't have to be with the speed of notes as seems to go way too fast and having at least the level if four sharps or flats come up would be better
Love this app, and please if these issues could be fixed would be great

### 4/5 — This works surprisingly well

*2013-01-19, version 1.0*

Does exactly what it says it does...good note sensitivity, and it only occasionally popped notes I didn't actually play.

In a way, I find this demo is a little lacking. As an instrumentalist, the demo tempo is really, *really* slow. I'd like to be able to try some of the faster levels, if only for a little bit...took off a star for the limited nature of the lite version.

This is an excellent tool for ear training, vocally. It's a huge help that the app shows what pitch you're actually snug, so you can compensate. Not sure if the full version includes it, but it would be nice to be able to play a starting pitch, and turn off the note hint, to really test yourself vocally. (Really, I think the vocal aspect of this app could stand by itself in its own app).

### 5/5 — Good app

*2021-08-24, version 2.4.0*

When you press begin any notes you play on the piano display on the right of the glass. It would be really useful to be able to use just this feature to help with not looking at hands to learn to play the right note. I have searched for an app that can display the notes I play on the piano, to help with not looking down, but nothing available so far.

### 5/5 — Learning Alto Sax

*2019-09-13, version 2.4.0*

Wonderful app. It either shows the note you played if wrong or if correct that note disappears. Great learning tool. I can practice fingering and the iPhone tells me if I am right. Well worth the few dollars for the full version.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2015-06-22*

Works well. Great for improving your sight reading. I found the iPhone6 heard the notes better than the iPad Air. Probably a better mic.

It would be nice if they included an option to view the names of the notes on the left and/or the position on the string. Next feature? Please? For us newbies.

### 5/5 — Improves sight-playing and intonation

*2014-12-31, version 2.3.1*

Note Hitter is my favorite game to improve sight-playing and intonation. (You'll need to turn on your mic in the settings. In the game, you can click on the right arrow icon for game controls.) It's helpful because it shows the played pitch when my intonation is wrong. However, it scores completion rather than accuracy.

### 5/5 — Buy it

*2013-03-20, version 1.1.1*

It was awesome

### 5/5 — Fun and educational!

*2013-02-23, version 1.0*

Fantastic! Really helps with my sight reading. I upgraded to the full version and that's taken things to another level.
