I bought the notebook and downloaded the app. 40 Dollars Overall. Then I discovered that unless you pay a subscription of 9.99 a month or 80 Dollars a year that all you will have is an app that stores pictures of your notebook pages—Basically, you now have a moleskin notebook and a photo app. OneNote works much better than the crippled app and the full price subscription app is way overpriced compared to free and near free apps. I’ll keep looking.

The system is difficult to use and figuring out how to scan a page is cumbersome at best. Additionally, I can’t figure out how to make my print transition to text which speaks to the clumsiness of the system. This is not an intuitive system and the how to videos don’t walk a new user through the system, step by step. If you are new to this system, which I am, put on your patience hat…..also grab a glass or two of wine. You will need it.

When I purchased to book did not know it was capture only without features unless you pay a monthly fee.  Very disappointed

**Developer response:** The app is free to use when capturing pages from our notebook. Simply select the Continue with Limited Access option and you have full access to all the main features for capturing notebook pages. The paid subscription are for additional features, beyond capturing notebook pages. Items like audio/video notes, images, etc.

I downloaded the 7 day free trial but I can’t even get the app to recognize my - very neatly - handwritten title and hashtag. I’m frustrated because we were going to give 23 of these as gifts but I can’t even get mine to work right. Tried to email the company 3 days ago but haven’t heard back. Time is running out on my free trial and I just need someone to help me so I can decide if this is worth giving as gifts. Please assist!!!

Signed up for this based on an email promo I received promising a free Thinkers notebook with a subscription. That was December and after receiving no info for some weeks I contacted customer service and was told they had no record of this promo (!) and yet the notebooks were going out within the week. 
Now it’s almost April and nothing. Don’t believe their promotions!!

No matter how clear I write the title in the box or the hashtag it will not properly recognize them,  sometimes the title will show parts of what I wrote,  I have to manually add hashtag to every note.  I like the notebook itself but the app is garbage

The app freezes frequently. Taking pictures of the notebook pages are not seemless. The AI borders do not lock on and pictures must be taken manually. Finally, renaming the document glitches and always defaults back to the original name. Overall a horrible app that makes the book to expensive on its own.

Video makes one believe that when you purchase the notebook you will get free access to the app - yes you can capture pages - Ie: scan them like 10000 other apps but as soon as you need access to the features they advertise it’s all about the $$$$. 

Be more transparent.

I’ve had this app for a few months and the book that goes with it. Well I haven’t been able to login to the app on my iPhone 12 max pro or my iPad Pro, or my iPad Air. I’ve sent in several tickets and nothing…..every time it blocks me from getting in it says 

“ unknown error has occurred. Click the report button and we will address the issue ASAP.”

  I select yes ever single time which is probably over 50 times and still nothing.

It’s not as clear cut as it seems; the hand writing recognition is not as developed as the videos/ posts have made it to be; and the Thinkers+, Thinkers manifesto, Facebook page, etc a little confusing. All I want to do is to take notes in a searchable format. Still playing with it though

### 2/5 — Won’t Recognize Titles

You would think that recognizing that the writing inside the Title Box on the page is, in fact THE TITLE would be the most consistent thing that the app could recognize. But such is not the case. After 15 tries, the app recognized the title once, even though it correctly converted the handwriting inside the Title Box to text.  Even with the free notebook offered with the subscription, the app is not worth it in its present state. I have great hope that it will be improved very soon.

Ideas come at any time. Usually I want to write them down — pen and ink. Sometimes it’s audio. Sometimes it’s a photo. Thinkers is different than Evernote (which I’ve used forever). I use Evernote for storage. Thinkers is more streamlined and safeguards my thoughts for easy retrieval. Not just a catch-all but a way of thinking:  Thinkers is part of how I … think. Thank you!

While there is a lot to like about this app, one of the best features; especially for those that travel or going to different meetings, is the map feature.

Being able to quickly find notes on a map is huge. So if I take notes at home, capture an image at a store or just record an audio note at a clients office, you can find them immediately. 

Totally changes the way I find notes and ideas.

The Thinkers is great! I have been using without the notebook (just arrived today) and the features are intuitive and easy to organize.
Just need iPad version for 5 stars. When is the iPad version coming?

Looking at ways to work my quick napkin sketches into the program.

I am such a quick idea scribbles guy.
It’s soft and easy. Fun, … sortable 

Maybe the Thinkers can help me save, edit, organize  ?.  Another quick tool?

The Notebook is a bit too precious for quick napkin ideas .. but could be an added tool.

Coming to this as a newbie with an immediate problem that this notebook and app might be the solution to, I have fooled around with desktop and mobile apps without finding direct and actionable answers to one basic question: Having registered for the upgrade, how do I now get my captures (of handwritten notes, of whiteboards, and diverse notebooks) to be saved and filed as #dated, #editable #taggable & #searchable text? If the Thinkers program is what it promises to be, y'all should make user adoption (the slide to solutions) 100% seamless.          Sincerely, Still Trying

Love the notebook, the touch, the paper weight, love the tech.

But….. 

As an iPad owner, why will the app not allow me to edit a saved note on the fly with Apple Pencil and iPad. 

Please enable this in your app if you want my monthly money for a subscription.

The app is ok but the text recognition is not so great. Many many mistake. 
Also too little free features to really enjoy it. Waiting for iOS 15. It is going to do the same.

The concept of the app is good, but it is difficult to capture a picture of the notebook page.  Most apps have don't have the difficulty of doing something like this.
