This app has more distractions than most other note apps I’ve tried. I used Note! for song writing, but recently I’ve been getting pop up after pop up. Today, I had some random creative inspiration, but by the time I closed out of the two or three pop ups that appear when you open the app, I forgot what I was going to write down. Between the ads and the pop-ups, this is a sub-par app at best, and a useless look-alike at worst. Ads shouldn’t be shown until like 5-10 minutes into using the app. And premium pop-ups should only appear when closing notes, not opening them. ### 2/5 — Ads are too much *2025-07-03, version 1.3.1* The ads are so intense it’s impossible to experience the app. I was hoping to find an app that will work for me… I would be interested in paying… but I want to see what the app is like first. Notes were timestamped, you could organize notes by color, and functionality was extremely straightforward. However, for months now, literally each time you open up a note within the app, you get an immediate full-screen video ad with no exit. I rarely review apps but this is so egregious and detrimental to functionality that it destroyed an otherwise excellent app. You can’t even navigate within the app without having to wait 20 seconds for an ad for each action. If you need to make money off the app, charge a fee for download or use less-intrusive banner ads at the bottom or top. ### 2/5 — I’d pay for no ads *2024-04-07, version 1.2* I really like the simplicity of this app and the lock feature. I use it daily. However, I’m now bombarded with ads ever time I use it which has ruined the app for me. Developers, please can you give us an option to pay for ad removal, if not I’ll have to go elsewhere which I don’t want to do. Would have given 5 stars but now 2 stars is the best I can do. I would pay for a n ad free version (NO SUBSCRIPTION!!!). Plus, although you can export notes one by one there isn't any way to do a bulk export to back up your notes. Right now, saving individual notes one by one becomes unmanageable when you have a lot of entries. This is especially problematic when switching to a new phone, as the data in Note! doesn’t transfer over with the iPhone migration process. I would really appreciate a bulk export/import or backup & restore function. It would make the app so much more reliable and future-proof. I hope the developer will consider adding this feature in a future update.
