Pour fonctionner, Noteecast s'appuie soit sur l'Apple Push Notification service (APNs) soit sur les services de Firebase et plus particulièrement sur la solution de messagerie multiplateforme Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).

Les notifications locales et push sont idéales pour tenir les utilisateurs informés avec du contenu opportun et pertinent, que l'app soit active, en arrière-plan ou fermée. Suivant la configuration de l'app, une notification peut afficher un message avec ou sans image, émettre un son distinctif lors de sa réception, mettre à jour la pastille, rediriger l’utilisateur vers le contenu associé à un lien HTTPS, …

Pour chacune des apps ajoutées, Noteecast Go permet :
• d'importer et mettre à jour sa configuration (APNs ou FCM).
• de partager sa configuration avec d'autres utilisateurs grâce à un QR Code.
