### 2/5 — Purchase with care

*2024-09-29*

A decent enough app if you only use it on one device. Not much use if you want to sync over multiple devices though. To be able to sync you need to pay for a yearly subscription to Notelife Pro at $19.99, or $1.99 a month, even though the app hasn’t been updated for the last 6 years.

I’m surprised it still works after all this time after all the regular Apple OS updates. Chronos must be rubbing their hands together getting money for nothing. I’d class it as abandonware but for the fact that Chronos are apparently still accepting subscription payments.

I’ll give it 2 stars just for the fact that the app is well designed, although I personally still prefer the design of the old Notelife HD on the iPad and SoHo Notes on the Mac.

### 2/5 — Need support

*2019-11-14, version 1.0.5*

Great app but pitiful tech support when things go southerly with it

### 3/5 — Started well now abandon ware don’t buy!

*2018-09-06*

But development is now glacial...

Some crashes lately especially on macOS

No search of internal attachments...

### 3/5 — Needs function to justify price...

*2017-12-20*

Update - 20/12/17

Ok now available for just under $20 USD a year. Much more attractive, however functional comparison still leaves it a touch on the pricy side. It is however a very well presented app.

Some additional functions could make it just that more attractive. It needs a little something to set it apart.

OK, this is being advertised as a premium note manager.

And it's wanting $40 a year (after a 3 month trial). But as yet it has nothing to justify this price bracket.

I hope there is going to be a significant amount of functionality built into this app before then.

Because after the three month trial. You / we are going to be auto billed.

But as yet there isn't any way to get content in unless you cut and paste. There is no Extension support which makes this an empty shell of an app.

The redeeming factor is that it is being developed by a significant developer that has decades of experience with Apple. And if they have chosen to build an app it's pretty certain it will be well built.

And that alone is why I am watching this app with interest.

This developer makes solid products. Always has.

So if that's anything to go buy... This could be just what it's being described as.

Watch this app.

### 1/5 — Big disappointment

*2017-10-06, version 1.0.2*

I'm a long-time SOHO Notes user and the new Notelife is a crippled shell of it. I could never get it to sync with the Mac app. I opened a support ticket about it months ago and never got a response. Deleted the app and have officially given up on Chronosnet products. I've switched to Bear and very happy with it.

### 2/5 — Pro Version

*2017-10-05, version 1.0.2*

Not syncing via iCloud Drive for me. Anyone having success with this?

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2017-09-25, version 1.0.2*

Pro version doesn’t sync with iOS device

### 1/5 — iCloud sync not working

*2017-08-23, version 1.0.1*

Would've been a nice app. Not I can't even sync. Opened a support ticket but have gotten no response at all. Disappointing.

### 3/5 — Meh

*2017-08-05, version 1.0*

I used Sticky Brain and loved it. Got Soho Notes and loved it more. Devastated when it was no longer supported. So when Notelife was announced I signed up sight unseen. And....., it's sort of kind of OK. I WANT to love it but it seems to me like it does less than Apple notes does for free. To justify a subscription it would have to be real special. Getting things into Notelife is cluncky and there is almost no customization available. I still WANT to love it and I hope it will be improved. If not though, OneNote and Apple Notes are free and easier to use and prettier to look at

### 1/5 — Extremely poor customer service

*2017-07-31*

Do not get any apps from this company.

I have sent several requests for assistance with a technical issue and was ignored for weeks.

Still haven't got any response from them.

I might be wrong but so far from my experience they prefer to ignore their customers than help them.

Wish I could get my money back.

### 1/5 — DON’T UPGRADE!

*2023-12-31*

I’ve tried for days. It’s even on my subscription list as “pro” but NONE OF THE PROMISED OPTIONS APPEARED!!!

### 1/5 — Subscription problems

*2022-04-01*

This app is useful, for a year, then it does not renew, although the App Store still charges you. I have tried renewal manually (direct with Chronos) and that’s a nightmare to ensure data is not lost.

I would give it zero stars after the total non help after raising a ticket.

Avoid if you can

### 1/5 — Is NOTELIFE being phased out?

*2021-10-20, version 1.0.5*

I paid for an annual subscription to Notelife in February 2021. The app stopped syncing with my laptop in March 2021 (both apple, both up to date).
Very annoying year in terms of tracking my meetings, my appointments, my bills, my life !
Does Notelife plan on staying around? If so would you please give me a sign of life?!?
Thanks

### 1/5 — Excellent, intuitive, notes and file management

*2019-02-22*

Having compared several note taking apps, and having recently left Evernote, Notelife is a clean simple app, syncs easily, and is very easy and reliable to use. You can adapt it to however you wish to use it. I am enjoying using it, and it’s a fraction of the cost for Evernote.

### 1/5 — Second request – POOR follow up

*2019-01-28, version 1.0.5*

Sent an earlier comment about the poor performance of life on an iPhone 6S. And it’s clumsiness of use. My note was acknowledged as received, with indication I’did hear back within 48 hours - - that was two weeks ago

1/25/19
Now have a new iPhone and speed on the phone is much improved. Am also got the iMac version which I have and I’m unable to sync between the two with no indication of what the real problem is.

if you want to give me a call please on 734-223-1595 that would be VERY helpful. A.

### 1/5 — Cannot get response with technical support

*2018-03-28, version 1.0.5*

Submitted ticket #17721 in December 2017. No response. No phone numbers. Paid my subscription fee...but no help. Loved SOHO notes, but I feel stonewalled now

### 1/5 — No phone call for support

*2018-03-26, version 1.0.5*

Good luck if you have a problem, if you can’t fix it yourself, you’re out of luck. They won’t help you.

### 1/5 — 1 out of 5

*2018-02-24, version 1.0.5*

There are just too many shortcomings and issues to list.

If you’re hoping this was going to bridge the gap between SOHO Notes and Apple Notes, think again.

Not even close!

I can’t even restore my mobile app to the Pro subscription I paid for. It requests a login to my iTunes account where it responds with a message saying that it’s unable to verify my purchase... this is even after contacting customer support with a screenshot of my subscription purchase. In the weeks that followed they still have not provided a solution and my app still thinks it’s the free version, not permitting me to use all the features.

This is disappointing in every way and I have asked for a refund to my subscription purchase as described by their policy. Let’s see how long getting that will be. I’m reasonably certain it won’t even happen.

### 1/5 — Lousy support for a defective application

*2017-12-12, version 1.0.3*

The title says it all, I’m afraid. The transfer of data from previous versions doesn’t work and Chronosnet support, after one feeble attempt to help me with the issue, simply disappeared. Would not respond to further requests for help with the issue.
Just not a good outfit to work with, absolutely undependable. Never again will i deal with this company!

### 1/5 — Long time user calling it quits

*2017-10-18, version 1.0.3*

I have been a Sticky Brain, Soho Note and NoteLife user from the beginning. I’m leaving them and not looking back. Any app that cannot do a manual sync not to mention auto sync is less than worthless.
Too bad, because it was a nice ride while it lasted.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love this

*2018-11-11, version 1.0.5*

Makes my life so much easier. It works seamlessly between my computer, IPad and IPhone.

### 5/5 — Sync problems

*2018-06-08, version 1.0.5*

Can not sync with my husbands Notelife. Very disappointed.

### 5/5 — A simple collector of thoughts - Notelife

*2018-05-18, version 1.0.5*

I was looking for a simple collector for cut&pastes which could be organized by TOPICS. This tool does it well! Now, all my saved or written pieces are collected in one spot. Oh, and it sync’s between all 8 of my devices!!

### 5/5 — Notilife

*2018-03-14, version 1.0.5*

Muy buena para guardar notas
Y lo más grandioso es que las puedo inter actuar con mi MacBook

### 5/5 — Superb!

*2018-01-08, version 1.0.5*

This app had been on my phone for quite some time. While organizing my iPhone folders I came across this incredible app and decided to go Pro!

### 5/5 — Sounds like a good app but beware.

*2017-09-25, version 1.0.2*

I paid for and installed the Pro version app on my iMac. When I tried syncing with my iPhone and iPad, which it promised to do 'seamlessly,' across devices (“you only need one paid subscription...”) it has never worked.

When I tried Chronos contacting online tech support (required to submit a written request/comment) they have yet to responded to my request for assistance. And I submitted it over a month ago. Their canned response back is, “it can take up to 76 hrs.” Well, unfortunately it’s been weeks without a response.

Their 'how to' manual for syncing is very basic, which sort of implies an easy set-up. But there isn’t info on work arounds or additional details on their product support webpage. If anything, the inference that the app is 'intuitive' to use is not the case.

I'm pretty disappointed in Chronos at this point. I did find that installing their trial subscription app on my iPhone finally connected my other devices (iPad and Mac), but it would have cost me twice what I had already paid. And now that the trial subscription has ended the connectivity to my other devises is no longer there. And guess what? There’s no way to cancel my current subscription and get refunded the remaining amount via their website or even a way to contact them via email (and no phone contact info, either).

While the promo for the product sounds good, if they can't deliver on basics they shouldn't have released it. I'd really would like to use Notelife, (lots of potential), but at this point their just ripping people off.

### 5/5 — Long awaited app is worth it!

*2017-08-26, version 1.0*

My only disappointment was the lack of quick note entry on my desktop Mac.

### 4/5 — Notelife is a WINNER, but there's just one thing...

*2019-04-19*

This is totally my go-to note app. I love that it recognizes URLs, ph numbers, emails, etc. I love that I can customize the font, text & colors. The only thing it's missing is the option to change the note color background. Personally, I always love a black background or even to use one of my photos. Make it do that & Ill give you 5 🌟❣️

### 3/5 — Notelife

*2019-10-06, version 1.0.5*

Notelife still crashes periodically for no clear reason - especially in iOS. Customer service on the other hand is consistently unresponsive. Otherwise, it would be 5 stars. I really wish this program would be all that it could be.

### 3/5 — Extremely poor customer service

*2019-01-31, version 1.0.5*

I have been a user of chronos products for at least ten years. Used SOHO Notes daily. Bought Notelife. It does not work well at all. I notified Chronos months ago about the issues encountered. They acknowledged and indicated a response would be forthcoming. Contacted again, there was no follow up. They have lost a long-term customer. (Several months later now, still no response, worst customer service ever)
