Free and free from advertisements, I never have to worry about access for students from home nor do they get frustrated by advertisements. It is so flexible it can be used to represent virtually any mathematical thinking. ### 5/5 — Favourite App for Representing Mathematical Thinking *2018-04-19, version 2.0.3* Just love this app for showing my thinking in math. I can use the number line features to order, compare and operate with whole number, integers, decimals and fractions. Being able to quickly make an array of any dimensions, I can model whole number multiplication and fraction +,-,/,x! The copy feature makes graphing and labeling so easy! I love being able to annotate my thinking with either a text box or by using the pencil tool. How great is it that I can bring in an image to find the area of or maybe import a screenshot of the problem I'm solving! It's simple and has a good set of options without making it too busy or complex. I needed a scratch pad of sorts with the grid background and pencil tools with the option to change colors. An additional feature I love is that the size of the grid is customizable. This is a great feature. I can think of many uses but my initial purpose is to demonstrate multiplication of two digit numbers to my daughter. This helps me show how to line everything up properly and I can color code it too.
