## What is Noteroom?

Noteroom trains how fast you recognize notes, not just what they are. Every level earned redecorates your practice room. Free, no ads.

32 ROOMS TO GROW WITH YOU
Method books teach you what the notes are. Nobody trains how fast you know them — and speed is the thing that makes reading music feel easy. Noteroom shows a note, you play it, it times you. Your average speed sets your level: 32 levels from Newbie to Virtuoso, across both clefs and the black keys. And every level you earn redecorates your practice room, from an empty cellar to a music salon with a grand piano. It runs on your phone, no account, no ads, no data.

WHAT'S INSIDE
- Treble and bass clef, including notes that can be written in either
- Black keys, with both names for each
- Levels never drop. Once you've earned it, it's yours
- Session summaries showing your speed and accuracy over time
- MIDI support

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Noteroom works entirely on your device. No account, no sign-up, no data collection, no ads. Just you and your practice.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-08-23

Thirty-three new rooms, and a levelling system that finally explains itself.

NEW ARTWORK
Every room is redrawn, and every level now has its own — the top three used to share one. You start in an empty cellar and finish in a music salon with a concert grand. The picture on the card is bigger, too.

ALWAYS SOMETHING TO AIM AT
Every session now tells you the time to beat and the level it earns. Read slower than usual and it points you back at your own pace, rather than at a target you can't reach yet.

THE END OF A STAGE IS VISIBLE
Each stage has a ceiling — a point where reading faster can't raise your level any further. Noteroom now says so when you get there, and offers to move you up.

THE WHOLE LADDER, IN ONE PLACE
The levels explanation shows all thirty-two levels at once: eight stages across four speed bands, with your own level marked.

YOUR ROOM, THE MOMENT YOU EARN IT
Levelling up shows your new room straight away and names what arrived in it.

SPEED BANDS HAVE CHANGED
They're now four times you get under: four seconds, three, two, and one and a half. That makes the ladder harder than it was. Levels you've already earned are untouched.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-08-20

The difficulties have been rebuilt around how music is actually written. Notes now stay within the range a real score uses, and from the third difficulty up you'll see the same note written in either clef — which is what piano music actually does. The note picture no longer takes up more room than it needs, so there's more space on smaller phones. New icons on the tab bar, and a few things that were cut off now aren't.

Your level starts fresh, because the difficulties are no longer the same ones it was earned on.
