3.13.0

Faster and more reliable notebooks in local folders: • Feature: File System notebook provider for macOS, iOS and visionOS — connect any folder and keep your notebooks in it. On macOS this includes folders synced by Google Drive for desktop, Dropbox or OneDrive • Feature: Connect multiple root folders to the File System provider (all platforms) — pick the folder per notebook in the add dialog, and the notebooks list shows which folder each notebook belongs to • Feature: Pull down to refresh the list of notes and folders inside a notebook on touch devices • Fix: Editing a note that was changed outside the app (iCloud Drive and File System notebooks on Apple devices) is now detected as a conflict instead of silently overwriting the other change • Fix: .m4a, .flac and .opus audio and .m4v video attachments now play in notes instead of rendering as a broken image (all notebook providers) • Misc: Much faster iCloud Drive notebooks on Apple devices — listing folders, opening notes, searching and playing attachments are all noticeably quicker • Misc: Deleting items in iCloud Drive and File System notebooks on Apple devices now moves them to the Trash where the location supports it • Misc: The save button of a note, kanban board or whiteboard turns into a spinner while the save is still running, and ignores further taps until it finished

iCloud issue

Probably the best notes app available. iCloud sync doesnt seem to work fully though. I have notebooks that are local and others that I set to sync with iCloud and basically nothing happens, they remain local. iCloud is on for the app in settings, not sure if it takes time because its just text files. I have pressed the sync button multiple times.

Response from developer

Thank you for the kind words and for the detailed report! Good news: sync is likely working, it just isn’t visible where you’re expecting it. When a notebook is set to sync with iCloud, its files are stored in the NotesHub folder at the root of your iCloud Drive. You can confirm this in the Files app: iCloud Drive > NotesHub. If your notes are there, the notebook is syncing correctly. One important detail: notebooks don’t appear automatically on your other devices. On each device, you need to add the same notebook manually (Add Notebook > iCloud Drive, then select the existing folder). Once added, notes will sync between them. If things still don’t line up after checking those two things, please email us at support@noteshub.app and we’ll help you sort it out directly.

Unusable

MacOS application worked fine for git integration, but web and iOS apps both fail with “An error occurred”.

Response from developer

Thanks for reporting this and sorry for the inconvenience. We’d like to get this resolved for you. Could you contact us at support@noteshub.app with your diagnostics info: Settings -> Diagnostics and repo size, and iOS version.

Last update broke the app

Since the last update, I can no longer open the app in Apple Mac Air M1. It only shows a black screen.
I nornally love the app.

Response from developer

Thanks for taking the time to share the issue. Please try the following steps: 1) Force quit NotesHub and restart your Mac. 2) Reinstall NotesHub from AppStore. 3) Update macOS to the latest version available. 4) If the issue persists, please contact support support@noteshub.app and include your macOS version and any details you notice around the time the screen turns black. Screen recording would be really helpful. I appreciate your patience and your continued support.

Great program

I couldn’t be happier with this program, and with the great support from the developer.

Great program

Great feature set for my needs, and I really appreciate that it’s cross platform and supports github syncing.
