Buy the August doorbell or Google Nest instead. First let’s start by saying their box is misleading, making you believe it’s a quick and easy install. Maybe I was just too naive, but it advertises like you can buy the box, go home and slap it on and you’re done. It’s not easy to setup, as I had no pre-existing wired chime system (it doesn’t mention that! Ever!!!!! Until you get inside the box to the instructions, deceptive advertising !!) Okay, if you’re lucky to get it set up properly, this sneaky company requires monthly premiums after your initial trial (again, this is literally mentioned no where, I found out after it stopped working). The video and audio feeds seem to only connect when I’m using a device on the same network. Which is pretty silly, and it also takes ages to connect. Let me include my home internet is a gigabit connection, so it’s not my internet. Even when my device is connected to the same network it can take 2-3 minutes to initialize connection. No guest will sit at the door for 3 minutes, they will leave thinking no one is home. And why should I talk through my door when I’m supposed to have a 2 way audio and video doorbell? I see why this product was 1/3 the price of the second cheapest option, it works only 20-30% of the time. I wouldn’t even say this is a “get what you pay for” situation. All that’ll happen is you’ll throw this doorbell away and go spend money on a simple press button doorbell - as it will work better for audio and visual (which it is literally unable to do, but I personally trust that option more). To the manufacturer: PLEASE RECALL THIS PRODUCT AND DISCONTINUE ITS SALES. Go back to the drawing board! You are legally scamming people; people who could otherwise become loyal customers but will be certain to avoid all your products in the future. I will hopefully be able to return BOTH of the notifi doorbells I purchased, but I’m also happy to burn them on fire. You have to connect to the Notifi’s WiFi signal for it to register it. I seen one commenter say that whoever gives this product 5 stars must work for them. I certainly don’t, and bought this yesterday for $25 and had it installed and programmed to my phone in less than 10 minutes. Learn the world as it is today before bashing a product you just don’t know how to work. Lol. Great product for a really cheap price. Works perfect. What else do you want it to do open the door and greet the person for you? ### 5/5 — Took 10 minutes to set this up! *2019-08-05, version 1.3.12* Maybe someone should make a short video for the internet company bully above. First plug it in, and make sure the dingers battery isn’t dead. (Mine was) they sell them at the dollar tree. I downloaded this app. It was pretty self explanatory from there. Slow down and read. Adjustable volume which I like so I can ignore unwanted visitors. Lets me know via the app if someone is dinging the bell while I’m not home. I’m enjoying this product. ### 5/5 — Strange setup *2019-06-18, version 1.3.11* Please note there are two apps for this device. If you download the old one it will not install and you will not get conformation email. Not sure why they don’t delete the non working app. Once installed it worked as expected for a low dollar device. The camera is good night and day. The motion detection sends me notifications within 1 second someone steps on my deck. The two way talk works but is not very loud. Overall you get what you pay for. Thumbs up here. Here’s one other problem I should note. I’ve tried to sign up for the premium service but have not been able to. Tech-support was not able to fix the connection. Was told a new update to the app would fix the connection issue. Finally it works great. ### 4/5 — Maybe they are turning around? *2019-07-30, version 1.3.12* I don’t quite understand the negativity about this app and product. I purchased an open box unit from Home Depot despite all the poor reviews due to the aggressive discount. Installation of the unit was pretty straight forward, but I couldn’t activate the doorbell because it was previously activate to an account and there is no way to factory reset it without being the owner who activated it. So the company approved an RMA and asked me to send them my unit (which they provided a free UPS shipping label for me to do) and sent me out a replacement unit as soon as they were notified that I had shipped my old one. A few days later my replacement unit arrived. I followed the activation instructions and it has worked for me without issues since. I get notified when there is activity sensed at my front door. I am able to hear and speak with people at the front door. So I’m quite pleased with both the product and customer service. The negatives: I can’t seem to add additional viewers so my wife can use the app on her phone, but I will call customer service today to see if they can help with that. I also would like to see them allow speaking with and hearing people at the doorbell without having to switch between speaking and hearing mode in the app. Finally, I would like to be able to access the recordings on the internet via browser. I will ask support if there is a way to do that. ### 4/5 — Works for me *2019-07-06, version 1.3.12* Set up and working out of the box in 5 minutes. Not sure what the other users were having trouble with but I got it on sale at Home Depot and so far it is a win for me. The other thing is the Chime selection, just give me some options that sound like a quality door bell. You could do this easily in a future code update.
